A system and method for an armor system for protecting the groin. While the system is useful for either gender, it is particularly valuable to protect male genitalia which are particularly vulnerable to damage. The system utilizes at least one, and commonly two, armor components. One armor component is a specifically designed armor plate of the type and construction common to plates in plate carriers that is generally worn external to the pants. While the plate or over armor can be used alone, in an embodiment of the system, the plate is worn over a high impact ballistic cup which is inside the pants. The cup is designed to absorb impact from the over armor against the body to further protect the groin area.

A protective device and pad are disclosed. The protective device includes a garment or belt configured for securing a pad that has a lateral side shorter than a medial side over a portion of an abdomen/pelvis of a subject.

Provided is a waist belt in which: a left inner tightening belt, with a right end portion thereof attached to the right end portion of the left body belt, is passed through the left fold ring and folded back leftward, and a left connecting ring is provided at a left end portion thereof that has passed through the right fold ring; a right inner tightening belt, with a left end portion thereof attached to the left end portion of the right body belt, is passed through the right fold ring and folded back rightward, and a right connecting ring is provided at a right end portion thereof.

A tactical cummerbund for use with a tactical vest having a right, front vest connector and a left, front vest connector. The cummerbund includes an elastic connecting band and a protective right side portion and protective left side portion which connect to opposite ends of the connecting band. The connecting band may be positioned in the center of a channel in the back panel of the tactical vest such that it is protected from the elements. The connections of the right side portion and left side portion to the connecting band are adjustable to adjust the girth of the cummerbund.

The present disclosure relates to a wetsuit that provides support for the lumbosacral region of the wearer. The wetsuit has at least one layer of foam rubber or other wetsuit material with a lumbar portion disposed in the lumbosacral region of the wearer. In certain embodiments, the wetsuit has at least one tensioning mechanism that allows the wearer to selectively change a level of support provided by the lumbar portion to the lumbosacral region of the wearer.

This disclosure provides a protective gear and system for cushioning an object against falling. The protective gear includes a housing conforming to a portion of the object, an airbag disposed in the housing, a detector configured to detect a motion of the object; and a controller configured to generate an actuating signal to deploy the airbag if the motion is over a threshold. The protection system includes a primary protective gear and at least one secondary protective gear.

A novel multi-directional flexible dynamically adjustable protection apparatus for use in protecting a user in a manner which provides relief from mechanical forces via both direct impact and mechanical forces when the user moves.

Apparatus for a penis and a scrotum of a wearer are described. The apparatus may comprise a semi-rigid body and attachment element. The semi-rigid body may comprise a first structure sized to at least partially surround a posterior portion of the penis; a second structure positionable to maintain a separation between a posterior portion of the scrotum and thighs of the wearer; and third structure positionable to maintain a separation between an anterior portion of the scrotum and the penis when the second structure maintains the separation between the posterior portion of the scrotum and the thighs. The attachment element may be configured to maintain the semi-rigid body in a position relative to the wearer such that the second structure maintains the separation between the posterior portion of the scrotum and the thighs and the third structure maintains the separation between the anterior portion of the scrotum and the penis.

An athletic garment generally includes a short member, a supporter, and a plurality of straps. The short member may include a front panel, rear panel, two side panels, and a waistband. The supporter is dimensioned to releasably receive an athletic protective cup. The straps are coupled to one end of the supporter and are attached to the opposing rear panel of the short member.
