The invention is to a protective pad for protection from impact and a protective garment using the same. The protective pad includes a foam part and a plate part. The foam part includes a plurality of channels, a plurality of cutout portions, and a plate accommodating section for receiving the plate part. The channels are formed in a first surface of the foam part and the plate accommodating section is formed in a second surface opposite to the first surface. The cutout portions of the foam part are through-holes formed in the foam part from the first surface to the second surface. The plate part is arranged on the plate accommodating section of the foam part, and the plate part includes a plurality of cutout portions that are substantially aligned with the cutout portions of the foam part.

An emblem and assembly is provided for use with a leather garment. The emblem can include a decorative design on its surface. The assembly includes an inner support plate affixable with a section of the leather garment and an emblem base plate. The emblem base plate includes a first side for receiving at least one latching mechanism and a second side for receiving the emblem, wherein the latching mechanism couples with the inner support plate. The emblem base plate can include a hollowed out section on the second side with a circuit board with electrically coupled LED lighting attached thereto. The assembly can include an anchor plate affixable within an interior of the garment. The assembly can include a shoulder harness coupleable with the anchor plate and the inner support plate. The harness and inner support plate can be affixed at different positions along the anchor plate.

A postural support apparatus comprising is provided including an biasing body comprising: a top member; a bottom member, spaced from the top member; and a left and right resilient members attached at each end of the top and bottom members. The present invention relates to a device that stabilizes or protects the head or spine from injuries. An immobilization device includes one or more pillars with multiple segments that protect the head or spine of a user. The pillars typically run along the part of the head and spine and pelvis that the device protects. A cable or wire runs through these segments in the pillars. By design, when the pillars of the invented system are not activated and the system is in normal use, the pillars are designed to be as flexible as possible and allow full physiologic motion of the protected body part. Activation of the system confers rigidity to the system and prevents or lessens harmful, non-physiologic motion of the body part intended to be protected. The present invention can further include a caudal extension used to connect to vehicle.

The present disclosure relates to a wetsuit that provides support for the lumbosacral region of the wearer. The wetsuit has at least one layer of foam rubber or other wetsuit material with a lumbar portion disposed in the lumbosacral region of the wearer. In certain embodiments, the wetsuit has at least one tensioning mechanism that allows the wearer to selectively change a level of support provided by the lumbar portion to the lumbosacral region of the wearer.

A hip protective, disposable undergarment is described. The hip protective, disposable undergarment includes a brief having a body between a first end and a second end. The first end includes a waist opening, and the second end includes two leg openings. A first pocket is included in the body, and a first hip protective insert is removably attached to the first pocket of the body. The first hip protective insert is configured to be disposed over a first trochanteric region of the wearer when the undergarment is worn. A second pocket is also included in the body and a second hip protective insert is removably attached to the second pocket of the body. The second hip protective insert is disposed over a second trochanteric region of the wearer when the undergarment is worn.

A bomb disposal suit includes a jacket, trousers, and a back protector connected between the jacket and the trousers. The back protector includes a body of impact resistant material having a plenum with an intake opening to receive forced air and with outlet openings to direct forced air out of the plenum. The garment implements an inseam of 6 inches or less and utilizes limited visible shock-absorbing pads. These pads are designed to adhere to a cloth material (ie. spandex, Lyrca, nylon). The pads included on the garment are specifically placed on the inside of the garment in high prone injury areas of the pelvic girdle. The purpose is to relieve possible discomfort and reduce injury while maintaining a smoother appearance. This also provides a level of desired mobility for the active individual. The garment can be worn as a uniform, an integrated part of a uniform, or as an independent garment.
