BIDIRECTIONAL ADJUSTING CUTTER HOLDER
A cutter holder has a body, a collet fastening unit, a collet, a cutter, multiple concentricity adjusting units, and multiple straightness adjusting units. The collet fastening unit is assembled on the body. The collet is assembled on the collet fastening unit. The cutter is inserted into the collet. The body has a fastening flange which has multiple concentricity adjusting holes. The multiple concentricity adjusting units are respectively screwed in the multiple concentricity adjusting holes and abut against the collet fastening unit to correct the error of concentricity between the cutter and the body. The collet fastening unit has an assembling flange which has multiple straightness adjusting holes. The multiple straightness adjusting units are respectively screwed in the multiple straightness adjusting holes and abut against the body to correct the error of straightness between the body and the cutter.
INVERTED PILOTED COLLET CHUCK AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
Collet chucks are described herein having design and architecture for minimizing and/or mitigating collet misalignment during rotary tool coupling operations. For example, a collet chuck comprises a housing for connection and rotation with a spindle about an axis of rotation, wherein the housing defines a socket for receiving a collet. The collet comprises a nose end engaging the socket and a second tapered end engaging a locknut assembly.
COLLET CHUCK FOR ROLLING ELEMENT SCREW DRIVE
A collet chuck with a chuck body, a collet, and a clamping nut in which the chuck body has a coupling section for coupling the collet chuck to the working spindle of a machine tool and has a collet holder embodied in the form of an inner cone and at least one thread groove for the screwing-on of the clamping nut; the collet has an outer cone, which is complementary to this inner cone, as well as a cylindrical tool holder; the collet chuck is embodied so that by tightening the clamping nut, the collet can be driven far enough into the collet holder that the tool shaft is held in a rotationally secured fashion; and the clamping nut has at least one thread groove; where rolling elements are inserted between the thread grooves of the chuck body and the clamping nut so that the clamping nut and the chuck body constitute a rolling element screw drive.
FIRMLY ASSEMBLED HIGH-PRECISION CUTTER HOLDER
A cutter holder includes a body, a collet, a cutter, and a fastening cap. The cutter is inserted into the collet. The collet is assembled on the body with the cutter. The fastening cap is mounted on the body, and the cutter protrudes from the fastening cap. The body has a fastening portion; the collet has an annular groove. The fastening portion has a fastening portion end face. The annular groove has a first face. The fastening portion end face and the first face are separated by a distance. By means of confining the distance between the fastening portion end face and the first face, a contact area between the body and the collet is increased to enhance the clamping force. Accordingly, the cutter holder can firmly clamp the collet for precise machining.
