Vibration absorption cutter holder
A cutter holder has a body, a fastening bolt, and a vibration absorbing structure. The body has a specific weight. The fastening bolt is mounted inside the body. The vibration absorbing structure is mounted inside the body and has a sleeve, an elastic unit, a spacer, and a set nut. The sleeve is mounted around the fastening bolt and has a specific weight. The specific weight of the sleeve is larger than the specific weight of the body. The elastic unit is mounted around the fastening bolt and has two opposite ends. One of the ends of the elastic unit abuts against the sleeve. The spacer is mounted around the fastening bolt and abuts against the other end of the elastic unit. The set nut is screwed with the fastening bolt and abuts against the spacer.
CLAMPING DEVICE FOR CLAMPING A CYLINDRICAL INSTRUMENT SHANK
The invention relates to a clamping device (1) for clamping a cylindrical instrument shank, in particular, a dental instrument, said clamping device comprising a spring-loaded element (2) for holding the instrument shank, a hollow shaft (3) for transmitting a rotational movement, and a plunger, wherein the spring-loaded element (2) is designed as a sleeve with a cylindrical wall, a first opening (6) and a second opening (7); and the wall has cut-outs (8). The spring-loaded element (2), the shaft (3) and the plunger (4) have axes of rotation that are arranged coaxially; the shaft (3) protrudes at least partially into the first opening (6) of the spring-loaded element (2); and the plunger (4) protrudes at least partially into the second opening (7) of the spring-loaded element (2).
Threaded pin remover
A threaded pin remover for a threaded pin in an interference fit in a structure is provided. The threaded pin remover includes a housing. A pin grasper is slidably mounted in the housing and includes: a first end configured to couple to a linear actuator for slidably moving the pin grasper between an extended position relative to the housing and a retracted position relative to the housing. A second end of the pin grasper includes a pin grasping collet configured to, in the retracted position relative the housing, engage with a portion of the housing to cause grasping of the exposed portion of the threaded pin by the pin grasping collet to release the threaded pin from the interference fit, allowing removing of the threaded pin from the structure.
COLLET LOCKING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
A universal driven shaft retaining system includes a collet chuck holder that circumferentially engages a collet chuck with substantially inward compression during inward co-linear movement of a drawing bar creating a clamping (locking) effect on an inserted driven shaft.
Orbital drilling system and associated methods and apparatuses
Described herein is an orbital drilling system that includes an orbital drilling machine and a cutter. The orbital drilling machine includes a spindle and an eccentric rotation mechanism. The spindle is rotatable about a cutter axis. The eccentric rotation mechanism is coupled to the spindle and configured to orbit the spindle about an orbital axis, offset from the cutter axis. The cutter is co-rotatably coupled to the spindle and comprises a plurality of cutting edges, collectively defining a cutting diameter of the cutter. The cutting diameter of the cutter is adjustable.
Self-Tightening Rotary Tool Holding System
A tool holding system for a rotary power tool is configured to clamp around a working tool when the working tool is inserted in the tool holding system. The tool holding system includes a sleeve having a frustroconical inner surface portion, a collet having frustoconical outer surface portion complementary to the inner surface portion, a spring mount operably connected to a motor for rotation by the motor, and a spring. The spring includes a first end portion operably connected to the collet to bias the collet toward a first position whereat the outer surface portion engages the inner surface portion, and a second end portion rotationally fixed with respect to the spring mount.
I. D. collet
An I.D. collet has a housing with a hollow bore and an undercut portion; a taper screw slidable into and out of the hollow bore of the housing and having a conical head; a spindle having a hollow bore in alignment with the hollow bore of the housing for receiving the conical head of the taper screw into and out of the hollow bore of the spindle such that the conical head enlarges the diameter of the spindle; and a draw nut assembly threadably connected to the taper screw and having tangs abutting the undercut portion of the housing when the spindle reaches a preset location in the hollow bore of the spindle to prevent further enlargement of the spindle when the tangs come into contact with the undercut portion of the housing.
Collet adaptor
A collet adaptor (10) including a body (11, 12) having forward and rear ends and an axial bore (17) extending through the forward and rear ends. A drawbar (13) disposed at least partly within the bore (17) for connection to a collet (14). The drawbar (13) is secured within the bore (17) and a biasing arrangement (42) acts on the drawbar (13) in a direction tending to shift the drawbar (13) rearwardly within the bore (17). The drawbar (13) is displaceable within the bore (17) against the biasing influence of the biasing arrangement (42) to shift forwardly within the bore (17).
