MULTI-AXIS ROBOT WITH REMOTE DRIVES FACILITATING HAZARDOUS ENERGY ISOLATION FOR USE BY HOME CONSUMERS
A modular robot mechanism utilizing fixed drives, power sources, power delivery cables and electrical components for 4 or more axes in a protective enclosure while making it possible to provide spatial positioning and tilting degrees of freedom to an end effector suitable for using in a consumer product. Furthermore a robotic head mechanism is disclosed that creates additional degrees of freedom or states by combination of existing axes with spring loaded lock mechanisms eliminating need for conventional electrically actuated solenoid or pneumatic grippers making it possible for use as a home appliance. A method to control the robot mechanism and additional axis utilizing a matrix to decouple the input position to the remote actuator and Cartesian motion produced at the end effector.
Modular structures for motion stages
A modular structure includes a structural element, a rod, a knuckle, a rod mount, and a bearing holder. The knuckle is connected to a first end of the structural element and the rod mount is connected through the structural element. The bearing holder is removably connected to an actuated member and slides along the rod held by the rod mount.
Milling machine
A milling machine including a frame (2) having a work surface (2.1) disposed in a vertical plane and a C-shaped moving bridge (3). In addition, the machine includes: at least three heads (7), each head including a machining spindle (15); and five movement axes (X, Y, Z, A, B), such that the moving bridge (3) is moved by the frame (2) along a horizontal axis (X). Each head (7) is moved independently on the moving bridge (3) along a vertical axis (Y) in order to be moved towards or away from the work surface (2.1) along a depth axis (Z) perpendicular to both the horizontal axis (X) and the vertical axis (Y), as well as rotating independently about a first axis of rotation (A). Each spindle (15) rotates independently about a second axis of rotation (B).
Feeding device and machine tool and method for machining using machine tool
A feeding device includes a sliding member, a main shaft, a tool holding assembly, a locking assembly, and a locking assembly. The sliding member is slidably couplable to a moving member. The main shaft is rotatably coupled with the sliding member. The tool holding assembly includes a connecting member detachably connectable to the main shaft and configured for holding one of a plurality of tool heads, the connecting member defining two clamping grooves. The locking assembly is positioned on the sliding member having a driving member attached to the sliding member, and a pair of claws attached to the driving member. The disclosure also supplies a machine tool using the feeding device, and a method for machining using the machine tool.
Lathe control system
A lathe control system used for three dimensional curved surface machining includes an input module, a control module, a work table, a feeding module, a first sliding module, a second sliding module, and a cutter. The control module is electrically connected with the input module, the feeding module, the first sliding module, and the second sliding module. The first sliding module drives the feeding module to move along a first direction. The second sliding module drives the feeding module to move along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The cutter is positioned on the feeding module. The feeding module is capable of driving the cutter to move back and forth along a third direction under the control of the control module. The third direction is perpendicular to first and second direction.
Numerical control machine-tool
A numerical control machine-tool includes: a ground-resting base plate; a movable supporting column rising cantilevered from the base plate in a substantially vertical direction and movable horizontally on said base plate; a first electronic-controlled drive assembly for moving the supporting column along the base plate; a head-carrier slide fixed in vertically sliding manner in a straight longitudinal slit extending along the front face of the supporting column parallel to the longitudinal/vertical axis of the supporting column; a second electronic-controlled drive assembly for moving the head-carrier slide along the supporting column; a straight supporting beam inserted in an axially sliding manner into the head-carrier slide and cantilevered juts out from the front face of the supporting column while remaining substantially parallel to the ground; and a third electronic-controlled drive assembly for moving the supporting beam forwards and backwards with respect to the head-carrier slide parallel to the beam longitudinal axis.
Micro turning machine
A machine tool having a monolithic base is disclosed. The monolithic base includes at least two flat surfaces that are mutually orthogonal and that are convex with respect to each other. The machine tool includes at least two moveable stages, each mounted to one of the flat surfaces, and each stage also being mutually orthogonal.
Workpiece carriage, and machine tool and manufacturing cell having such a workpiece carriage
A workpiece carriage for workpiece transport includes a guide unit oriented in a longitudinal direction, a drive unit having an electrical supply and a drive motor, and a workpiece gripping unit having two clamping jaws movable relative to one another. A machine tool includes at least one workpiece table, with at least one tool unit movable relative to the workpiece table and with at least two workpiece carriages that are displaceable individually in the longitudinal direction along a machine bed of the machine tool. A manufacturing cell includes such a machine tool and a workpiece supply. The two clamping jaws of the workpiece gripping unit can be displaced relative to one another in a height direction oriented normal to the longitudinal direction and normal to a transverse direction oriented normal to the longitudinal direction. This expands the possible applications of the workpiece carriage.
MACHINE TOOL AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE MACHINE TOOL
A machine tool includes a tool assembly having a tool carrier support and a tool magazine. The tool assembly is displaceable in parallel with an X axis. The tool carrier support supports a tool carrier for driving a tool.
The tool magazine of the tool assembly is configured for supporting a number of tools. The tool magazine is attached to the tool carrier support for movement with the tool carrier support in parallel with the X axis.
The tool assembly includes a drive component configured for displacing the tool magazine in relation to the tool carrier support, between a first position in which the tool magazine is not facing the tool carrier, and a second position in which the tool magazine is facing the tool carrier, for allowing tool replacement.
