RADIATION PROTECTION GARMENT
20240145109 · 2024-05-02 ·

A radiation protection garment. The radiation protection garment includes one or more lead-based panels and a cooling system. The cooling system includes one or more air flow paths containing air and one or more air vents that provide fluid communication between atmosphere and the one or more air flow paths. Movement of the radiation protection garment causes the air in the one or more air flow paths to flow through the one or more air flow paths and exit through the one or more air vents. Additionally, or alternatively, the radiation protection garment includes one or more lead-based panels and a support system. The support system distributes a weight of the radiation protection garment away from at least one of a neck or a lower back of a user while the user is wearing the radiation protection garment.

Wearable Thermal Protection and Perspiration Management Apparatus and Method

Disclosed is a wearable thermal protection and perspiration management apparatus that includes a two-ply composite main body and an inner layer of elastic material. The two-ply main body includes an outer layer made of moisture absorbent material and an interior layer made of moisture wicking material this is arranged in contact with the outer layer of moisture absorbent material. The interior layer provides a moisture barrier which is adapted for preventing captured moisture from contacting a wearer's body. The inner layer of elastic material is adapted and configured to secure the two-ply composite main body in contact with the wearer's body. Preferably, the two-ply composite main body has a Thermal Protective Performance rating of greater than 35 cal/cm.sup.2.

CATCHER'S LEG GUARD

The present invention is directed to a leg guard that provides increased protection while also providing maximum articulation and increased freedom of movement for the user. More particularly, the leg guard includes a toe guard, a shin guard, a knee guard including an extended knee cap wrap, an extended knee guard, a thigh guard, a left hinge, and a right hinge. Through the use of an extended knee cap wrap and a hinged configuration, the leg guard provides additional protection for the knees of a catcher and allows catchers to freely and quickly move to or through different stances without having to re-position the pads of the leg guard. The hinged configuration provides enhanced mobility for the user by preventing the leg guard from shifting and rotating about the shin of the user and allowing the leg guard to remain static without axial rotation or vertical movement.

Mosquito and safety garment

A reversible mesh garment to prevent mosquito bites and increase safety through greater visibility of the wearer in dark conditions includes a tubular sleeve formed from mesh fabric, the tubular sleeve having a first end and a second end; first and second adjustable elastic bands housed in a woven fabric casing at each end of the tubular sleeve, wherein the first elastic band spans the perimeter circumference of the first end of the tubular sleeve and the second elastic band spans the perimeter circumference of the second end of the tubular sleeve so as to secure the garment to the wearer's legs from groin to ankle; an LED light source; and an additional layer of a strip of mesh fabric two inches wide is sewn as the top outer layer at the side seams thereby forming a mesh channel housing the LED light source.

APPARATUS FOR MEDIALLY THICKENED SHIN PAD TO REDUCE LOWER LEG DISCOMFORT WHEN SNOW SKIING
20240157223 · 2024-05-16 ·

The present invention comprises a novel device that is placed over the anterior portion of the lower leg with the intent to reduce pressure on the Tibialis Anterior muscle and Tibialis Anterior tendon when a direct force is applied to the anterior lower leg. This may provide relief to and protection against the shin-bang condition which many suffer from, principally those who are snow skiing. One way this is achieved is through a novel medially thickened shin pad embedded in an innovative ski sock. Another way is through a novel medially thickened shin pad embedded in the tongue of a ski boot.

THERMOPLASTIC PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

A garment includes a longitudinal arch support configured for supporting a longitudinal arch of a foot; and an arch strap that at least partially overlays the longitudinal arch support.

Stabilized support device for a limb guard
10368594 · 2019-08-06 ·

A device for coupling a limb guard to a human limb includes a support sleeve configured to wrap around the limb. The support sleeve includes a friction pad configured to cushion the limb and oppose translational and rotational displacement of the device relative to the limb. The support sleeve provides a stable attachment surface for a joint guard and/or limb guard and may be worn without discomfort for extended periods, remaining stationary relative to the limb while a person wearing the device moves about.

FOOT AND KNEE PROTECTOR AND METHOD OF USE
20190231003 · 2019-08-01 ·

A foot and knee protecting device includes a first pad having a curved area to receive a toe portion of a user's shoe; a second pad having a second curved area to receive a knee of the user; and a support extending between the first pad and the second pad, the support to secure around a leg of the user; the first pad and the second pad prevent the toe portion of the user's shoe and the knee of the user from coming into contact with a ground surface when the user is in a kneeled down position.

Composite element for protection devices of parts of the human body

A composite element for the realization of protection devices of parts of the human body includes a matrix, a reinforcing element, at least partially embedded in the matrix, wherein the reinforcing element has at least one opening shaped so as to define an undercut between the matrix and the reinforcing element, such undercut being suitable for determining a mechanical constraint between the matrix and the reinforcement element.
