PROTECTIVE FOOT, LEG, AND CLOTHING GUARD
The protective foot, leg, and clothing guard of the present disclosure can most generally be categorized as a protective device configured for wearing on the feet and lower legs of the wearer below the knees by encircling the leg and ankle area during wearing. The device is generally comprised of a fabric material with openings to allow the device to be pulled on by a user over their footwear and clothing to protect these areas. Accordingly, the device includes portions that can be generally referred to as an upper portion and lower portion. The upper portion generally representing the portion of the device that surrounds the shin and calf area while it is worn and the lower portion encircling the footwear of the wearer of the device, wherein this lower portion anchors the device to the footwear and alternately provides traction to a surface during use.
Protective garment
An improved protective garment is form-fitting and comfortably secured to the wearer and includes a plurality of padding surfaces to adequately protect the wearer from moisture, cold, wind and uneven surfaces, while also providing pockets that are accessible from both a standing and seated position for storage or hand warming. The pads are held in separate compartments that are readily accessible so that users can replace and/or adjust the pads, such as by trimming them. These features allow for less encumbered motion of the wearer and are based on the construction and shape of the garment. The shape allows for both expansion of coverage on the wearer's body to include the crotch as well as lateral and anterior thighs extending from the waist to just above the knees.
Sports bra with collarbone protective padding
A protective shirt includes a chest portion made of garment material including a lining on a side of the chest portion that is closest to a wearer of the protective shirt. At least one layer of neoprene is securely fastened to the lining. The at least one layer of neoprene extends from a left side of the chest portion to a right side of the chest portion, and is located at an area of the chest portion nearest to a clavicle of a wearer of the protective shirt. The at least one layer of neoprene includes a plurality of spaced-apart segments of the at least one layer of neoprene. The protective shirt includes a neoprene neck pad. Embodiments of the protective shirt include cap-sleeve, short sleeve, long sleeve, sleeveless and tank top versions. In one embodiment, the garment material includes nylon and spandex.
INFIELD LEG GUARD
Infield Leg Guards (ILGs) are defensive leg guards for softball and baseball infielders. ILGs are below-the-knee protection (worn in pairs) for the front-side of the legs, primarily the tibia bone.
LEG PROTECTION LINER
A leg protection liner for a pair of pants, the leg protection liner including at least one elongated body comprising at least one type of fabric to prevent an inner surface of a boot from contacting at least a portion of a leg of a user, and a liner fastener disposed on a first end of the at least one elongated body to connect the at least one elongated body to at least a portion of the pair of pants, such that the at least one elongated body is suspended from the liner fastener.
KNEE PAD ASSEMBLY
A knee pad assembly is disclosed to protect the knee of a workman who kneels down while working on a work surface. The knee pad assembly includes a flexible upper knee cushion at which to receive and cover the workman's knee and a rigid lower base that lies on the work surface below the upper knee cushion. The lower base has a continuously curved bottom to rock back and forth on the work surface when the workman shifts his weight while kneeling. The upper knee cushion and the lower base are held one above the other against the knee of the workman by a knee pad strap that is wrapped around the workman's leg. A pair of springs (e.g., flexible carbon fiber sheets having a spring memory) extend across the lower base below the upper knee cushion so as to suspend the workman's knee above the work surface and flex in response to the workman's knee pushing down on the knee cushion.
RIOT GEAR
A body protection system comprising multiple protective assemblies that permits adjustability of the multiple assemblies in respect to one another thereby permitting a complete body protection system that is usable across different size personnel. The multiple protective assemblies may be separately adjusted permitting a one-size-fits-most capability for the different sized personnel. The body protection system permits reuse among different sized people thereby reducing overall costs associated with protecting members of law enforcement, military or other organizations. The body protection system may include a unique adjustable neck protectors that provides enhanced protection for the neck area. The various multiple protective assemblies may suspend directly or indirectly from the shoulder pad assemblies providing a common comprehensive suspension system for a wearer.
Device for the treatment of medial tibial stress syndrome and other conditions of the lower leg
A calf brace for the treatment of MTSS (shin splints) and other conditions of the lower leg, including the foot, includes a strap arrangement that is used to locate pressure nodes that target specific areas of a wearer's calf muscle to facilitate release of the calf muscle. In one embodiment, the straps are anchored to a sleeve that can be pulled onto the wearer's calf muscle over the foot. Targeted zones may include the point on the calf where the soleus muscle attaches to the posterior head of the fibula, the point where the soleus muscle attaches to the middle third of the tibia; and the back of the calf at approximately the junction of the Achilles tendon and the triceps surae muscle. A compressive rod may also be aligned with approximately the distal one third of the medial border of the tibia where periosteal elevation and inflammation is thought to occur.
Vented shin guard
A compliant shin guard includes an outer shell composed of an impact absorbing material and an inner padding mounted to the inner surface of the outer shell. A plurality of vents extend through the outer shell and the inner padding, the plurality of vents being distributed across the outer surface of the outer shell. A raised channel extends at least partially along the length of the outer shell to provide rigidity to the outer shell.
Impact plate having optimized dimensions
An impact plate system is provided herein comprising a moldable plate having center, a first surface, and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface and the second surface define a thickness therebetween. The thickness is between 4 mm and 7 mm. The moldable plate is defined by a perimeter edge, which comprises one or more curved corners having a predetermined radius of curvature between 18 mm to 28 mm.
