Extruder screw passages, extruder and extrusion method
An extruder screw includes a screw body. The screw body is rotated about an axis parallel to a direction of conveyance of a raw material. A conveyance portion having a flight is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the screw body. The flight is configured to convey the raw material along the axis of the screw body when the screw body is rotated. A passage for permitting the raw material fed by the flight to pass therethrough to the outer peripheral surface of the screw body is provided in the screw body in a position deviated from the axis of the screw body.

A method of melt blending a polypropylene and the melt blended polypropylene therefrom, comprising providing a base-polypropylene having a MFR of less than 15 g/10 min and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) within the range from 5 to 16, and comprising hindered phenol and phosphorous-type antioxidants, and within the range from 5 ppm to 4000 ppm of an alkyl radical scavenger relative to the total weight of the components to form a melt blended polypropylene; melt blending the melt blended polypropylene at a temperature of at least 210° C.; and isolating a melt blended, melt blended polypropylene.

An extruder includes a screw for extruder provided with a screw element for kneading a raw material, and a barrel including a cylinder portion in which the screw is inserted so as to be rotatable. A plurality of screw elements identical with the screw element are provided in a longitudinal direction of the screw under a certain rule. The barrel is integrated by combining a plurality of barrel blocks blocked. Each of the plurality of barrel blocks is configured in accordance with a length of the screw element provided in the longitudinal direction of the screw.

Mixing performance of resin material in the rotational direction of the screw is enhanced. Kneading disc 7 is fitted onto rotatable shaft 3 and is arranged in cylinder 2. Outer circumferential surface 8 of kneading disc 7 of the present invention that faces cylinder 2 has band portion 9 that extends between both ends 7a, 7b of kneading disc 7 in axial direction X of shaft 3 and that forms a minimum gap with cylinder 2. Band portion 9 includes at least one bent part 10.

An extruder screw for the plasticizing of at least one plastic material or a plastic material mixture, with a melting zone, a wave zone and a mixing zone arranged between the melting zone and the wave zone, wherein a conveying web extending in a helix-like manner along a screw longitudinal axis is formed in the melting zone and in the wave zone, wherein a conveying web of the melting zone terminates at an end of the melting zone facing the mixing zone, and a conveying web of the wave zone begins at an end facing the mixing zone. The application also relates to an extrusion device with this extruder screw, and a method for plasticizing at least one plastic material or a plastic material mixture.

The fractional lobe processor comprises an intake zone comprising at least one deep flighted shovel element on each intermeshing screw for receiving a input blend comprising an active substance and an excipient; a granulation zone consisting of only fractional lobe elements, and having a provision for introducing moisture or a binder solution, for granulating the active substance and the excipient; an optional, drying zone for drying the wet granules; and a discharge zone for discharging the granules; wherein the granulation zone is located before the discharge zone and after the intake zone; wherein the drying zone has one or more fractional lobe elements on each shaft; and wherein the granulation zone has a plurality of fractional lobe elements on each shaft.

Methods for granulating powder in a single piece of equipment include at least the following: (a) continuously introducing the powder and a granulating fluid to the single piece of equipment; (b) passing the powder and the granulating fluid through a granulating zone of the single piece of equipment to form wet granules; (c) passing the wet granules through a drying zone of the single piece of equipment; (d) optionally passing granules through a discharge zone of the single piece of equipment; and (e) continuously discharging the granules from the single piece of equipment where the single piece of equipment is not a fluid bed processor.

A screw includes a screw main body, a conveyance portion conveying a raw material, and a passage provided in the screw main body. The passage includes a first passage element, a second passage element, and a third passage element. The screw main body has a plurality of cylindrical bodies arranged in an axial direction of the rotating shaft. At least a portion of the conveyance portion is formed on outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical bodies adjacent to each other, and the passage is formed in the cylindrical body so as to cross over between the adjacent cylindrical bodies.

An extruder screw for a multi-screw extruder for plastics extrusion includes: a feeding and metering zone for melting and homogenizing the plastic and an evacuating zone for carrying away gaseous constituents and a compressing and/or discharging zone; a multi-screw section, which has a plurality of planetary screws, which lie open on the outer circumference of the extruder screw, at least over part of their length; and a driving zone, in which the planetary screws engage by way of a toothing in an external toothing on a central shaft or in an internal toothing in a stator ring or in the inner wall of an extruder bore of the multi-screw extruder. The feeding and metering zone extends into the multi-screw section, wherein the respective part of the planetary screws that is lying in the metering zone is at least partially enclosed.
