A fastener device includes a first fastener part and a second fastener part which can be mounted on one another along a closing direction and are held against one another in a closed position, and are releasable from one another in order to open the fastener device. The second fastener part has a winding element on which a tension element can be arranged and which is rotatable relative to the first fastener part in order to wind up the tension element on the winding element in a winding direction.

The device is generally comprised of a fabric material with openings to allow the device to be pulled on by a user over their footwear and clothing to protect these areas. Accordingly, the device includes portions that can be generally referred to as an upper portion and lower portion. The upper portion generally representing the portion of the device that surrounds the shin and calf area while it is worn and the lower portion encircling the footwear of the wearer of the device, wherein this lower portion anchors the device to the footwear and alternately provides traction to a surface during use.

An article of footwear with a dynamic support system that controls arrays of tiles in the upper of the footwear to adjust the level of support provided in different regions of the upper. A belt apparatus is configured to support the trousers worn by a person and to include a number of airbags that are deployable in a falling event to protect the person from bone breakages. The belt apparatus includes a flexible belt element and a fastener that appear and function in much the same way as an ordinary trouser belt, i.e., fitting through belt loops in trousers and being fastenable to itself to support the pair of trousers at the waist of the user. Despite the ordinary appearance of the belt apparatus, it includes one or more airbags internal thereto whose expansion is controlled by a control apparatus.
