Embodiments described herein include an apparatus to prevent hyper-flexion of a joint that can include a sleeve having a first end and a second end and an upper portion and a lower portion, a first pad, the first pad being associated with the upper portion of the sleeve and configured for positioning within the included angle of a joint, a second pad, the second pad being associated with the upper portion of the sleeve and configured for positioning within the included angle of the joint, where the first pad is spaced apart from the second pad by a distance, and an angle of engagement, where the angle of engagement is a predetermined angle at which the first pad engages the second pad to resist further motion and to prevent hyper-flexion of a joint.

A traveler's personal arm rest device comprises a chest portion and a pair of shoulder straps configured to supportively maintain the chest portion against the anterior side of a wearer's torso. In an embodiment, the chest portion may be securely folded to define a tubular cavity sized to accommodate all of the wearer's arms therein so that such arms may be maintained and comfortably supported by way of the straps in a resting position that is in line with his or her own body. The disclosure may provide a wearer with increased comfort while seated in cramped modes of public transportation and further prevent passive aggressive and even assertive arguments with neighbors regarding available arm resting spaces. Elements enabling compact self-stowage when not in use, providing ergonomic support when worn, and permitting storage of personal belongings therein are also provided.

A guard arrangement includes a sleeve with a pocket defining an adjustable opening that has a nominal width, and a pad element having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is configured to be removably positioned inside the pocket, and the first portion has a width at a widest part of the first portion that is greater than the nominal width of the opening.

The invention is an open-palm sun protective glove that covers the back of the hand protecting it from solar ultraviolet radiation. It allows the palm to maintain mobility, dexterity, tactility, sensitivity, and to release heat and maintain coolness. This open-palm glove has three sheaths that anchor it on the hand: thumb, 5.sup.th digit, and wrist. This allows the glove to fit comfortably and slip on and off easily. It is made from textile industry tested ultraviolet protective factor fabric made of knit, woven, or other textile fabric allowing the glove to fit snuggly on the hand. This invention protects the back of the hands, of the wearer, from chronic and intense sun exposure that can cause pre-cancers, skin cancers and sun damage while allowing natural sense of touch and palm-side heat dissipation.

A thumb mounted ammunition loader engages a digit, preferably a thumb, of the user's hand to protect the digit while loading ammunition into a magazine. The thumb mounted ammunition loader additionally maintains traction to the pressure applied to the ammunition, as the thumb mounted ammunition loader provides a barrier to depositing skin oil onto the ammunition. The thumb mounted ammunition loader includes a digit-mounting tube, a digit-receiving opening, a distal-closed end, and at least one joint-accommodating aperture. The digit-mounting tube engages the digit. The digit-receiving opening allows the digit to be inserted into the digit-mounting tube. The distal-closed end interfaces with the ammunition as the user applies pressure to the ammunition through the distal-closed end. The at least one joint-accommodating aperture provides flexibility of the thumb mounted ammunition loader for the user to maintain range of motion of the digit.

A harness (10) is provided for retaining a pair of electrical rubber insulating workman sleeves (12) on the shoulders (14) of a worker (16). The harness (10) is configured to grip a portion of the worker and thereby provide better anchoring of the electrical rubber insulating sleeves (12) to the worker. The gripping feature of the harness (10) is provided either in the form of a gripping collar (24) or a pair of fabric gripping sleeves (26), or a combination of the collar (24) and sleeves (26). Further, a C-shaped connector is configured for attaching the electrical rubber insulating sleeves (12) to a single point on a harness, which allows for an increased range of motion of the sleeves (12).

A full-body protection gear is disclosed. The protection gear includes a torso protector, an arm protector, and a lower body protector. The torso protector includes a protective vest defining a neck opening, a first arm opening, and a second arm opening. The torso protector includes a front shield, aback shield, a first pair of side shields, a second pair of side shields, a first shoulder shield and a second shoulder shield fixedly disposed on the protective vest. A sleeve for wear on a body limb includes a sleeve body and a strap body. The strap body includes straps with fasteners at or near the ends of the straps for attachment to the sleeve body. An arm sleeve includes a thumb opening connected to a tension strap that extends along the length of the sleeve. The arm sleeve is configured to apply a twisting force when the opening is placed on the thumb. An arm and shoulder sleeve includes a lower sleeve, and upper arm cover and straps extending from an elbow band to extend from the upper arm cover for attachment to another garment.
