WATER VALVE GUIDE TUBE WITH INTEGRATED WELD RING AND WATER VALVE INCORPORATING SAME
A water valve, guide tube for a water valve, and associated method are provided. The water valve includes a housing and the guide tube is installed on the housing via laser welding. The guide tube and housing each provide axially facing mating surfaces which abut one another in a pre-bonded configuration. In a post-bonded configuration, a laser weld joint is formed at the interface between the mating surfaces. The joint forms a portion of an outer periphery of the housing.
Vehicle lamp
A vehicle lamp 10 includes a lamp body 11, a sealing material 42, and a lens member 12 and a leg portion 41. A groove portion 31 is formed in the lamp body 11. The sealing material 42 is filled in the groove portion 31. The leg portion 41 is provided on the lens member 12. The leg portion 41 is inserted into the groove portion 31 to thereby fix the lamp body 11 and the lens member 12 together via the seal material 42. A narrow portion 51 is provided at a bottom side of the groove portion 31 and a wide portion 52 is provided at an opening 35 side of the groove portion 31. A gap of the wide portion 52 is wider than the gap of the narrow portion 51. The amount of sealing material 42 used in vehicle lamp 10 is limited while ensuring an easy assemblage.
Tapping assembly and connecting device; container and method for beverage dispensing
Tapping assembly for a beverage, including container including a first and second container, wherein the first container has a neck portion and the second container is suspended in the first container, from the neck portion thereof. A neck region of the container is provided with at least one opening in a side wall thereof, preferably in a neck region of the first container, opening into a space between the first and second containers. The assembly further includes a connecting device, connected or connectable to the neck portion, wherein the connecting device includes at least one connecting element for connecting to the at least one opening, wherein the connecting element is connected to a source of pressurized gas.
Injection molded composite blank and guide
This specification discloses an article of manufacture. The article of manufacture has at least one structural blank and at least one guide. The structural blank has a plurality of oriented fiber plies in a thermoplastic matrix. The guide has a plurality of random dispersed fibers in a thermoplastic matrix. The guide is affixed to the structural blank by injection molding and over molding the guide onto the structural blank. The article of manufacture can take a number of forms for use in industries such as aircraft, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, trains or watercraft.
HOUSING HAVING HOUSING PARTS BONDABLE TOGETHER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A housing includes a first surrounding wall connected around a base wall. The first surrounding wall has a first joint portion opposite to the base wall, a first outer surface and a first inner surface. The first outer and inner surfaces extend from the first joint portion toward the base wall. The first joint portion is stepped and has a first projecting portion adjoining the first outer surface, and a first shoulder portion indented from the first projecting portion and proximal to the first inner surface. The first shoulder portion has a plurality of parallel spaced-apart ribs protruding therefrom in a same direction as the first projecting portion. Each of the ribs has a tip that does not extend beyond a top end of the first projecting portion.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PLASTIC PEDELEC FRAMES, AND ACCORDINGLY MANUFACTURED PEDELEC FRAME
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a plastic pedelec frame (1) by, preferably integrally, joining two matching plastic half-shells (2, 3), said pedelec frame being provided with receptacles (12, 13, 14) for a handlebar (4), a bottom bracket (5) and preferably a seat (6). The two plastic half shells (2, 3) are made from a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic material containing a partially aromatic polyamide, using an injection molding process. The invention also relates to a pedelec frame (1) manufactured by said method.
Flow sensor and manufacturing method thereof
Provided are a laser-welded structure and a laser welding method for a cover and a housing ensuring high reliability and suppressing changes in characteristics due to burrs protruding into a subpassage of the flow sensor. To this end, this flow sensor is provided with a housing, a cover, a circuit chamber sealed between these and housing electronic components or wiring, and a subpassage through which the fluid flows that is to be sensed, and is characterized in that there are projections provided on both ends of the joining section of the cover where the housing and the cover are laser-welded, and the height of the projection on the subpassage side is greater than the height of the projection on the side opposite of the subpassage.
HOT-MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND VEHICLE HEADLAMP
A hot-melt adhesive composition comprises 35 wt % to 40 wt % of petroleum resin, 10 wt % to 14 wt % of polyester elastomer resin, 10 wt % to 14 wt % of ethylene vinyl acetate resin, 14 wt % to 19 wt % of polyether polyol, 15 wt % to 21 wt % of polyester polyol, 8 wt % to 10 wt % of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, and 0.1 wt % to 0.5 wt % of an amine catalyst, wherein the hot-melt adhesive composition has a melt viscosity of 20,000 cps to 50,000 cps as measured at 150 C.
Resistive implant welding of thermoplastic material with butt joints
A method for forming butt joints between thermoplastic members by resistive implant welding. A tongue is formed on one member to be joined and a complementary groove is formed in the other member. A resistive implant is placed between the tongue and the groove which are then pressed together by an applied pressure. An electric current is run through the resistive implant to melt a portion of the thermoplastic material of both the tongue and groove, and the melted plastic intermingles through the implant. When the electric current is removed, the plastic cools, forming a weld.
FLUID CONNECTOR
The present disclosure relates to a fluid connector having a sleeve-like connection piece with a connection-piece inner wall and an annular stop collar formed in the interior of the sleeve-like connection piece, said stop collar having an axially directed stop face, and a plastics tube which has a tube inner wall, a tube outer wall and a tube front face. The tube front face of the plastics tube comes into contact with the axially directed stop face. The tube outer wall of the plastics tube is connected to the connection-piece inner wall of the sleeve-like connection piece by means of a friction-welded connection.
