The at least one transparent membrane can define a hole therethrough. An elongate conduit can define an interior passage having a central axis. The elongate conduit can be coupled to the at least one transparent membrane so that the central axis of the interior passage is aligned with the hole. The mask can further comprise at least one securing element for securing the mask to the head of the wearer.

Provided are a mask, a sample collecting tube, and a pathogen collecting apparatus. The mask includes a mask body, a breather valve fixed on the mask body, and a sampling structure including a pathogen adsorption portion. The pathogen adsorption portion is disposed on an inner side of the breather valve and is adapted to adsorb pathogens in exhaled gas. The pathogen adsorption portion is adapted to enter the sample collecting tube to be in contact with a sample preservation solution in the sample collecting tube.

The first triboelectric material and a second triboelectric material have a difference in triboelectric charge density (TECD) of at least 35 μC/m.sup.2. The third layer and the fourth layer provide an electric field that is configured to electrify particles having a size of 10 nm to 10 μm between the third layer and the fourth layer.

A face mask assembly includes a mask that is wearable on a user’s face to protect the user from inhaling airborne pathogens. A nose strip is integrated into the face mask and the nose strip is comprised of a bendable material to conform to contours of the user’s face when the mask is worn. A scent patch is coupled to the mask and the scent patch is infused with a chemical scent thereby enhancing an odor of the mask. An antibacterial patch is coupled to the mask and the antibacterial patch is infused with a chemical disinfectant. The antibacterial patch releases the chemical disinfectant into air being inhaled by the user when the mask is worn thereby reducing airborne pathogen exposure for the user.

The present invention relates to a face mask for wearing over mouth and nose of a user, comprising a flexible body portion (11) and one or more fastening means (12) attached to the body portion (11). The body portion substantially covers a respiratory tract opening e.g. mouth and nostrils, of the user to block an entry of undesired airborne impurities into the respiratory tract opening. When the mask (10) is worn, a front surface of the body portion (11) is exposed to an external atmosphere and a rear surface of the body portion (11) comes in substantial contact with the face. The fastening means (12) holds the body portion (11) against the face when the mask (10) is worn.

Multi-Section Protective Garment

A protective garment, such as a scarf, is provided having a first section and a second section that are detachable from one another. The first section, when detached, forms a fabric tube that may be worn over a user's nose and mouth as a gaiter or religious face and head covering for providing air filtration, while the second section continues to be worn as a garment. The first and second sections may then be reattached to again form a continuous garment. The first section may include an air filter pocket for insertion of a removable air filter to provide increased filtration. The second section may include accessory pockets.
