Process for sealing flexible fitment to flexible film
The present disclosure provides a process. In an embodiment, the process includes (A) providing a fitment with a base having a wall thickness (T.sub.w). The base comprises an ethylene/a olefin multi-block copolymer. The process includes (B) placing the base between two opposing multilayer films. Each multilayer film has a respective seal layer comprising an olefin-based polymer. The process includes (C) positioning the base and opposing multilayer films between opposing seal bars. Each seal bar comprises (i) a front surface, (ii) a recessed surface a distance (x) behind the front surface, the recessed surface having a first end and an opposing second end. Each seal bar comprises (iii) a curved surface at each opposing end. The curved surface extends between the front surface and the recessed surface. Each curved surface has a radius of curvature (Rc) greater than or equal to distance (x). The process includes (D) heat sealing the base to each multilayer film.
FLEXIBLE CONTAINER WITH FITMENT AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME
A flexible container is provided. The flexible container includes four panels. The four panels form (i) a body portion; (ii) a neck portion, and a flare portion that extends from the neck portion; (iii) a tapered transition portion between the body portion and the neck portion; and (iv) the neck portion has a reduced width. The flare portion has an expanded end. The width of the flare portion gradually increases from the neck portion to the expanded end.
Flexible containers and related methods
A flexible container incorporating flexible front and rear sheets with a perimeter seal in which at least one length or section of the perimeter seal can include a seal weld that has both a permanent seal section and a pressure absorbing seal section. The pressure absorbing seal section is configured to peel, fail, or split when the flexible container, filled with a solution or liquid, is dropped onto a hard surface to thereby absorb the impact of the drop. The flexible container can be provided with one or more dispensing and/or additive ports or without any port. The flexible container may include more than one compartments with a peelable seal separating two adjoining compartments of the flexible container.
CELL PRESERVING VESSEL
Provided is a cell preserving vessel which is protected against damage during storage. The cell preserving vessel 1 includes: a vessel body 10 which is made of a flexible resin member and has a cell accommodating part 11; a cell introducing tube 20 which is connected to the vessel body 10 and through which cells are introduced into the cell accommodating part 11; and a pair of tube protecting parts 40 which are arranged to hold the cell introducing tube 20 therebetween and which protect a vicinity of a joined portion of the cell introducing tube 20, the joined portion being joined to the vessel body 10. The tube protecting parts 40 are preferably constituted by sheet members 50 and 60 that form the vessel body 10.

Device and method for fixing a connection of a supply tube to an OPW airbag, in particular in a vehicle restraint system
Device for fixing a connection to an OPW airbag, with an expansion sleeve (2), with a plurality of expansion shells (4), and a mandrel (6) extending longitudinally through the expansion sleeve (2) having a stretching piece (8) arranged in the vicinity of the expansion shells (4), the outer diameter of which stretching piece is greater than the inner diameter of the expansion shells (4).
MULTI-CHAMBER CONTAINER FOR BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS AND COMPOUNDED PHARMACEUTICALS
An apparatus for storing tissue and other biological materials includes a separable flexible container that includes a first layer coupled to a second layer via a set of seals to define a first storage volume and a second storage volume. Separate tissue specimens are containable within the first storage volume and the second storage volume. A first portion of the first layer or the second layer defines a first opening into the first storage volume. A second portion of the first layer or the second layer defines a second opening into the second storage volume. The opening into the first volume and the opening into the second volume are positioned near opposite edges of the flexible container. The separable flexible container also includes a hinge to allow the first opening and the second opening to move from location on opposing edges of the separable flexible container to adjacent locations.
