Resonator for joining or reception jig for joining
10632690 · 2020-04-28 · ·

A distal end portion on a side of an object to be joined of a resonator for joining is so configured that a plurality of protrusions each having an outer face not including an angular shape edge are stacked in two or more steps in a direction in which the resonator for joining and a reception jig for joining oppose to each other and that a shape of a protrusion on the side of the object to be joined is made smaller than a shape of a protrusion on a side of the resonator for joining. With this configuration, it is possible in the process of joining the object to be joined to first concentrate energy of acoustic vibration or ultrasonic vibration on a protrusion having a smaller shape serving as a first step protrusion to trigger to start displacement, then smoothly join, by a protrusion having a larger shape serving as a second step protrusion, a part of the object to be joined existing around the protrusion having the smaller shape, whereby metal foils can be joined without using a protection member for protection of the metal foils. A distal end portion having a plurality of protrusions stacked in two or more steps may be provided in the reception jig.

Metal-resin joining device
10518482 · 2019-12-31 · ·

A metal-resin joining device joins a thermoplastic resin plate (12) to a metal plate (13) by melting the resin plate (12) in contact with the metal plate (13) through heating an exposed face of the metal plate (13) by one-sided resistive heating. The metal-resin joining device has a center electrode (24a) that is brought in contact with the metal plate (13) and a peripheral electrode (24b) that is brought in contact with the metal plate (13) to annularly surround the center electrode (24a) and to which a current flows from the center electrode (24a) via the metal plate (13), wherein the peripheral electrode (24b) is made of a metal material having a higher electrical resistance than the center electrode (24a).

Tube Seal And Cut Device

Molded pulp containers with fused junctions and methods of making of same are provided. The present invention provides a pulp container, comprising a molded pulp body, wherein the body comprising a bottom and at least one side wall forming a cavity, wherein the at least one side wall comprising a upper rim, a neck, wherein the neck comprising a upper closure part and a lower rim, a fused junction, wherein a part of the upper rim of the at least one sidewall of the body and a part of the lower rim of the neck are aligned and fused together. The fused junction may be formed by ultrasonic welding.

Covering for architectural features, related systems, and methods of manufacture

A covering for an architectural feature having generally horizontal vane elements coupled to and located between generally front and rear generally vertical support members, which in preferred embodiments are adjustable to control the amount of light transmitted through the covering. In one embodiment the covering has three dimensional multi-layered, cellular vanes, and in another embodiment, the one or more support members are formed of a dark color, the rear support member(s) may be formed of material that is darker than the front support member(s), or vise versa. In another embodiment, the support members, e.g., sheers, have an openness factor, preferably as low as about sixty-five percent (65%) to as large as about ninety percent (90%). Other embodiments include structure, assemblies and methods for controlling the closure of the covering as well as embodiments of bottom rail assemblies. Also provided is a method of manufacturing the covering.

Method and apparatus for forming leak detectable geomembrane liners

A method for forming a geomembrane liner testable for leaks by securing adjacent panels together with the conductivity of the lower surface of an overlying panel broken along a line adjacent the panel overlapping edge, and the overlapping edges sealed along the line. A heat welder has slots for the overlapping panel edges, with a heated wedge between the slots and having a projection to break the conductivity of the overlying panel bottom surface as it passes the wedge. The slots merge to press the liner edges together to heat weld them along the line of broken conductivity as the welder is moved along the panel edges.
