An antenna for use in an RFID tag comprises an antenna yarn. The antenna yarn comprises metal fibers. The metal fibers are stainless steel fibers. The antenna yarn is wrapped by at least one wrapping yarn thereby covering the full surface of the antenna yarn or of the metal wire or of the bundle of metal wires. The at least one wrapping yarn comprises non-electrically conductive fibers.

The present invention relates to a system and method of skin detection of a human subject using a textile product. The textile product (10, 31, 43) is made from or comprising textile including near-infrared, NIR, absorbing pigments. It supports and/or partially covers the human subject while skin detection and/or detection/monitoring vital signs of the human subject is carried out. A increased contrast between the textile product and skin in the NIR wavelength range is thus achieved.

A garment for boosting circulation in areas of a user's body corresponding to the user's joints, having at least one fabric member of a size for at least partly covering at least one part of the user's body that includes at least one joint area lying over at least one joint of the user, and at least one muscle area lying over at least one muscle of the user, the fabric member being at least one of dimensioned and structured so as not to compress the part of the user's body covered by the fabric member, the fabric member having a heat insulating property at each joint area to be covered and a heat transmitting property at each muscle area to be covered, so that when the garment is worn, each joint area stays warmer than each muscle area to boost circulation in each joint area.

Therapeutic clothing includes a garment adapted to be worn over a lower portion of a body having a waistband and first and second legs extending below the waistband. The therapeutic clothing has a first elongated sensory strip attached to an outside surface of the first leg and extending along the length of the first leg between the waistband and a lower end of the first leg. The first elongated sensory strip has an inner edge attached to the outside surface of the first leg and a free outer edge. The therapeutic clothing has a second elongated sensory strip attached to an outside surface of the second leg and extending along the length of the second leg between the waistband and a lower end of the second leg. The second sensory strip has an inner edge attached to the outside surface of the second leg and a free outer edge.
SELF-HEATING PERSONAL COVERING
Disclosed is a self-heating personal covering that includes a first layer and a second layer that is parallel to and opposite of the first layer, and at least a portion of the second layer is fastened to at least a portion of the first layer. The self-heating personal covering also includes at least one heat source positioned between the first layer and the second layer. The at least one heat source is held in a prescribed position by the first layer and the second layer, and includes a material that undergoes an exothermic reaction upon exposure to oxygen. The at least one heat distributing structure is thermally connected to the at least one heat source.

Therapeutic clothing includes a garment adapted to be worn over a lower portion of a body having a waistband and first and second legs extending below the waistband. The therapeutic clothing has a first elongated sensory strip overlying an outside surface of the first leg and extending along the length of the first leg between the waistband and a lower end of the first leg, a first fastening system for releasably attaching the first elongated sensory strip to the outside surface of the first leg, a second elongated sensory strip overlying an outside surface of the second leg and extending along the length of the second leg between the waistband and a lower end of the second leg, and a second fastening system for releasably attaching the second elongated sensory strip to the outside surface of the second leg.

A fenestration drape and a method for providing skin-to-skin contact of a newborn with the mother immediately after birth during a Cesarean delivery are provided. The fenestration drape includes a portal which may be opened and reclosed without compromise to the sterile barrier. The method facilitates the critical contact without interruption and with continuity of sterile field throughout the procedure.
Medical gown having an integral protective sleeve for medical equipment
A medical protective gown comprising a gown body. A centrally located orifice passes through a central region of a front panel of the gown body. A tubular protective sleeve extends forward from the front panel of the gown body, the tubular protective sleeve being located circumscribing the centrally located orifice. A tubular protective sleeve distal end panel is located at a distal end of the tubular protective sleeve. The tubular sleeve is adapted to receive a stethoscope or any other desired medical instrument. A broadened interior pocket is assembled to an interior surface of the gown body to support an upper, broader portion of the stethoscope or other instrument. A flange can be included with the tubular protective sleeve and/or the broadened interior pocket to aid in attachment to the gown body. The tubular protective sleeve can include a sleeve contraction system to contract the protective sleeve.

The medical garment includes a top portion including a front portion, a back portion, a neck portion, and two sleeve portions, wherein the front portion is bifurcated from the neck portion to a bottom of the front portions, and wherein each of the two sleeve portions are bifurcated from the neck portion to a sleeve portion opening. The medical garment further includes a bottom portion including a waist portion, a left leg portion, and a right leg portion, wherein the left leg portion and the right leg portion are bifurcated from the waist portion to a groin portion of the lower portion, and wherein the left leg portion and the right leg portion are each bifurcated from the groin portion to a lower end of each of the left leg portion and right leg portion.
