Mover device for persons with reduced mobility
A mover device for the body of persons with reduced mobility, suitable and configured for being positioned above an installation. The device comprises a frame and a motor-driven operating portion at least partially overhanging the installation, which comprises a plurality of support elements movable according to at least one degree of freedom and configured for at least partially supporting the weight of a person, for moving at least a respective part of the person's body with respect to the remaining parts of the body. The device also comprises at least one housing and gripping element to house and grip parts and/or joints of a body which can be engaged by a respective support element and configured for operating at least between a rest condition wherein it can engage a part of a body and a grip condition wherein it engages a part of a body.
ISOLATION DEVICES TO REDUCE CONTAMINATION DURING IMAGING OF PATIENTS
Systems, devices, and methods for isolating and protecting patients during medical imaging procedures. The devices generally related to disposable personal protective equipment (PPE) that may be used to isolate patients and prevent cross-contamination of infectious diseases during medical imaging.
Adjustable Hospital Gown
An adjustable hospital gown is designed to cover the bodies of users of varying shape and size. The gown has a torso-covering garment, a pair of backflaps, and an adjustable fastener. The torso-covering garment is used to cover the front side of the user's body. The pair of backflaps are connected along backflap seams that are positioned on opposite sides of the torso-covering garment. As a result, the pair of backflaps can be transitioned between an opened and a closed configuration. The adjustable fastener is connected in between one of the backflaps and the torso-covering garment such that the backflap can be repositioned to cinch the gown around the body of the user. By connecting the adjustable fastener to various anchor points, the size of the gown can be modified to accommodate user's of varying shape.
Garment
A garment is provided for moving an incapacitated person. The garment includes a wearable body portion; and a support portion comprising a plurality of attachment elements attachable to a lifting device. Further, the plurality of attachment elements comprises a first attachment element located at a first location on a first side of a sagittal plane of the garment and a second attachment element located at a second location on a second side of the sagittal plane and substantially opposed to the first location. A method of moving an incapacitated person and a system comprising a garment and a sling are also provided.
Gown
A gown is disclosed with an opening in the back extending from the neck area to the bottom creating 2 panels. At least one elastic/flexible/stretchable strap is provided in the neck area of the gown. Each flexible strap has one end attached to each of the 2 panels of the open gown. The gown is designed for the first panel to extend over the second panel and can be weighted to minimize any movement of the first panel away from the second panel. In another embodiment a portion of the first panel extends to the user's side or front area and secured to the side or front of the gown.
Surgical mat and surgical marking pen to prevent wrong-site surgery
A color-coded surgical table covering or floor mat and/or a surgical color-coded skin marker can be used in a medical setting to identify a bodily location of patient for which a medical procedure is to take place. The surgical color-coded skin marker may be used to mark the location of the medical procedure site on a patient. The medical patient would be oriented to match the surgical table covering or floor mat body form that identifies, through color and orientation, or text, the bodily location of a medical procedure to take place. The combination of the two (table covering/floor mat and skin marker) provides an unmistakable indication that will help limit or reduce wrong-site medical procedures. A surgical mat using a color-coded system or using visual indicia may be used to identify the medical procedure site to medical practitioners, in order to reduce wrong-site medical procedures.
Body Support Wrap
A body support wrap adapted to encompass a body article of a user while elastically encompassing and supporting a fluid communication element, the body support wrap includes first and second flexible elastomeric surrounding sidewalls that are adjacent to one another and offset on an upper end forming a mouth opening and the first and second sidewalls are evenly displaced on a lower end forming a closed attachment, wherein an interior pocket is formed therebetween the first and second sidewalls that the fluid communication element is disposed through the mouth opening, wherein operationally via the first and second sidewalls elasticity the fluid communication element is held anyplace within the interior pocket in multiple positions adjacent to the user for the convenience and comfort of the user.
GARMENT-BASED SPLINT SYSTEM
Disclosed is a splint system for protecting and immobilizing an injured body segment and/or associated joint. The splint system is a garment-based splint system including a garment including an inner fabric layer having a skin-facing surface layer and an interior surface layer, and an outer fabric layer, wherein the inner fabric layer and the outer fabric layer define one or more pockets and one or more channels connecting a filler source to the one or more pockets.
Tourniquet
A tourniquet includes a base plate, and a first anchor point configured to anchor a first end of a lace to the base plate. The tourniquet includes a second anchor point configured to anchor a second end of the lace to the base plate. The tourniquet includes a tunnel strap including a first lace guide connected to a first end of the tunnel strap and configured to guide the lace from the first anchor point directly to a spool, and a second lace guide connected to the first end of the tunnel strap and configured to guide the lace from the second anchor point directly to the spool. The tourniquet includes a tightening mechanism connected to the base plate and including the spool configured to accept a middle portion of the lace, and a knob configured for manually winding the middle portion of the lace onto the spool.
Anatomically targeted compression clothing
An item of clothing is adapted to be worn against the skin, and having at least one panel adapted to provide targeted compression of at least 20% of the total length of a specific surface vein in the body, or adapted to provide targeted compression of at least 20% of a specific plexus of veins, a specific lymphatic plexus, drainage plexus or a collection of lymphatic vessels. The clothing is useful in a method of reducing recovery time in a human or other mammal, after a period of activity and in a method of enhancing performance, in particular sports performance, in a human or other mammal. It may also improve the conditioning of the skin and aid lymphatic drainage, and can be used in the treatment of certain medical conditions.
