Apparatus for sealing pouch case
A pouch case sealing apparatus for sealing a pouch case that includes a pouch body for accommodating an electrode assembly of a battery cell and a pouch terrace extending from the pouch body is provided. The pouch case sealing apparatus includes: a pair of sealing jigs, each sealing jig having a pressing surface, the pair of sealing jigs being configured to press and thermally fuse the pouch terrace from upper and lower directions of the pouch terrace so that the pouch case is sealed; and a pair of terrace anti-protruding units formed at respective pressing surfaces of the pair of sealing jigs to prevent an end portion of the pouch terrace from protruding beyond the pouch body in a horizontal direction of the pouch body when the pouch terrace is pressed and thermally fused. A method for sealing a pouch case is also provided.
Method of making a frangible seal in a sample processing device
A sealing device configured to create a frangible seal in a sample processing device is described. Methods of using the device to create one or more frangible seals in a sample processing device are also described.
Method of joining pipes and apparatus for facilitating the same
An apparatus and method for joining pipes includes a plate for melting mating surfaces of the pipes to be joined. Additionally, the apparatus utilizes a vacuum in order to push the first and second pipes together in lieu of hand or mechanical pressure which may be inconsistent. Additionally, the vacuum allows the pipes to be joined to settle on each other in order to create a pressure about a periphery of the end of the pipe being joined to the other pipe. The consistent pressure creates a very strong joint between the first and second pipes.
SYSTEM FOR SEALING AN ARTICLE
In some implementations, a device for heat sealing may include a positioning device configured to move in at least two dimensions, and a sealing head attached to the positioning device. The sealing head may include an energy system configured to generate energy for heat sealing an article along a path of an arbitrary shape.
THERMOPLASTIC NON-WOVEN TEXTILE ELEMENTS
A non-woven textile may be formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The non-woven textile may have a first region and a second region, with the filaments of the first region being fused to a greater degree than the filaments of the second region. A variety of products, including apparel (e.g., shirts, pants, footwear), may incorporate the non-woven textile. In some of these products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another textile element to form a seam. More particularly, an edge area of the non-woven textile may be heatbonded with an edge area of the other textile element at the seam. In other products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another component, whether a textile or a non-textile.
PACKAGING DEVICE
The disclosure refers to a packaging device for manufacturing a packaging for a foodstuff. In particular, the packaging may include a trough-shaped lower packaging part and a top film which can be sealed together along their edges by means of a sealing tool of the packaging device. In order to improve a packaging device completely without evacuation or by evacuation in a simple and inexpensive manner with only a slight negative pressure in such a way that sufficient vapor purging is possible and at the same time cooling of the foodstuff before sealing or excessive degassing of the foodstuff does not take place, vapor can be introduced under pressure between the lower packaging part and the top film at at least one vapor entry point before sealing and can be released into the surrounding atmosphere at an outlet point from the packaging.
JOINING APPARATUS FOR SHEET-LIKE MATERIALS
A joining apparatus includes a fusing mechanism part that joins two thermoplastic sheet-like materials by fusing, a sticking mechanism part that sticks an adhesive tape along a joined portion of the sheet-like materials, a workbench having a placement surface on which the fusing mechanism part and the sticking mechanism part are disposed side by side, the placement surface allowing the sheet-like materials in an unfolded state to be placed thereon, and a guide that allows an end portion to be joined of one of the sheet-like materials and an end portion to be joined of the other sheet-like material to overlap each other while aligned along a plane intersecting the placement surface, each of the end portions to be joined of the sheet-like materials being placed on the placement surface, and to feed the overlapping end portions to be joined. The fusing mechanism part fuses and joins the end portions.
Air cushion inflation machine
A machine includes an inflation arrangement, a sealing arrangement, and a tensioning device. The inflation arrangement provides air at a first pressure to inflate a first web of a first type of inflatable material, provides air at a second pressure to inflate a second web of a second type of inflatable material, receives the first and second webs, and aligns the first and second webs on the machine. The first pressure is different from the second pressure. The sealing arrangement seals the first and second types of inflatable material. The tensioning device provides a first tensioning force to the first web as the first web moves between the inflation and sealing arrangements and provides a second tensioning force to the second web as the second web moves between the inflation and sealing arrangements. The first tensioning force is different from the second tensioning force.
Heating element for inflation and sealing system
A protective packaging formation device is disclosed herein. The device includes an inflation assembly that directs fluid between first and second overlapping plies of a web material. The device also includes a sealing mechanism. The sealing mechanism includes a heating zone and a cooling zone. The sealing mechanism also includes a heating element that extends along both the heating zone and the cooling zone, with the heating element having a first profile in the heating zone and a second profile in the cooling zone.
