Method for applying reinforcing seam tape
A method for applying a thermoreactive seam tape to a seam is provided. The thermoreactive seam tape may be positioned adjacent to the seam, which may include a first fabric surface and an adjacent second fabric surface. The thermoreactive seam tape may include an interior planar surface that engages both the first fabric surface and the second fabric surface of the seam. The thermoreactive seam tape may further include an exterior surface opposite the interior surface, where the exterior surface is substantially non-planar with respect to the interior planar surface along a length of the thermoreactive seam tape. Heat and pressure may be applied to the thermoreactive seam tape, wherein the heat and the pressure facilitate adhesion of the thermoreactive seam tape to the first fabric surface and the second fabric surface of the seam.
Tool for Fusing Outlet Fittings in a Plastic Pipe and Method of Using the Tool
A tool for use in fusing an outlet fitting in the side wall of a plastic pipe has a base with three perpendicular guide rods. A movable plate is reciprocated on the guide rods in response to manual operation of a rack-and-pinion. The movable plate has a hole oriented to align a drill adapter and an outlet fitting adapter which are interchangeably inserted into the hole on an axis extending through a predetermined point on the longitudinal axis of the pipe. A retractable ratchet strap tightly girts the pipe to secure the tool against the pipe. The ratchet strap assures that the tool always maintains its original orientation on the pipe and the hole assures that interchanged drill and outlet fitting adapters are always returned to their original orientation in the tool. Therefore, the outlet fitting is always fused in its proper orientation in the pipe.
SONOTRODE
A sonotrode includes multiple layers of a material melted to one another to form a structure. The structure provides a base that has an attachment feature that is configured to operatively secure to an ultrasonic converter. The structure includes a shaft that extends from the base to a terminal end that provides a working surface that is configured to selectively engage a workpiece. The structure has at least one shaft that includes a first shaft that extends from the base to a first terminal end that provides a first working surface that is configured to selectively engage a workpiece. The first shaft is integrally formed with the base from the multiple layers to provide an unbroken, monolithic construction.
PACKAGE AND HEAT SEALING DEVICE
Aspects of the present invention are directed to a heat sealed packaging wherein the heat seal is along a curved surface. Additional aspects of the present invention are directed to a device for heat sealing a package on a surface that is curved along the direction of force.
MANUFACTURING APPARATUS OF DISPLAY DEVICE
A manufacturing apparatus of a display device includes a first jig configured to hold a first member; a second jig located under the first jig and coupled to or separated from the first jig such that the first member is locatable between the first jig and the second jig; fixing parts located at both ends of the second jig and configured to hold a second member between the first member and the second jig, the second jig including a pad; and a stage located under the pad and provided with a groove formed therethrough and having an area smaller than an area of the pad when viewed in a plan view, wherein one portion of the pad, which faces the stage, is configured to be within the groove.
COMPRESSION BELT FOR INFLATION AND SEALING DEVICES
The present disclosure is directed to a compression belt for inflation and sealing devices. The device may include an inflation assembly, a heating assembly, and a drive mechanism. The inflation assembly may direct fluid between first and second overlapping plies of a flexible web material to inflate chambers between the plies. The heating assembly may be operable to heat the first and second plies of the web material to create a longitudinal heat seal that seals the fluid in the inflated chambers. The drive mechanism may drive the web material in a downstream direction. The drive mechanism may tension the web material against the heating assembly. The drive mechanism may include a first belt including a high grip material on a surface that contacts the web material to grip the web material during heating by the heating assembly.
BONDING METHOD AND BONDING DEVICE
Provided is a bonding method capable of bonding with an inexpensive structure while avoiding an increase in the overall size of the device. The bonding method comprises: an arrangement step for locating a cylindrical body between two sheet-shaped members; a cylindrical body bonding step for applying an ultrasonic wave from the outer surface of a first sheet-shaped member through a horn part and applying heat from the outer surface of a second sheet-shaped member through an anvil part, in a state in which the cylindrical body is arranged between the two sheet-shaped members; and a shoulder part bonding step for directly bonding, through a pair of heating parts, the two sheet-shaped members to each other while the two sheet-shaped members are interposed between the pair of heating parts.
Apparatus and method for producing a sealed connection
The invention relates to a device for making a sealing connection between two material layers containing plastic, especially in a product packing pouch (2), having at least one sealing station (3), comprising at least two sealing jaws (4a, 4b) situated opposite each other and movable between an open position and a sealing position, having respectively a sealing surface (5a, 5b) on their inner side facing toward the other respective sealing jaw (4b, 4a), wherein the sealing station (3) is configured such that in the open position at least two material layers (6, 7, 8) to be joined together by sealing can be arranged between the sealing jaws (4a, 4b) and in the sealing position the material layers (6, 7, 8) can be pressed together. It is proposed that at least one of the sealing jaws (4a, 4b) comprises at least one lubricant channel (9) and the device (1) comprises a lubricant delivery device (10), which is configured to direct a lubricant through the lubricant channel (9) toward the sealing surface (5a, 5b) of the sealing jaw (4a, 4b) and/or toward the sealing surface (5b, 5a) of the oppositely situated sealing jaw (4b, 4a).
