Apparatus and method for making side seams on absorbent articles
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses configured to bond elastic laminates together between a rotating drum and anvil. The drum includes a fluid nozzle and a press member. As such, a first elastic laminate and a second elastics laminate may be advanced in a machine direction onto the rotating drum. A fluid is heated to a temperature sufficient to partially melt substrate layers of the first and second elastic laminates. As the drum rotates, the press member shifts radially outward from the drum wherein a length, L, of the pattern surface extends in the cross direction across a plurality of elastic strands of first and/or second elastic laminates. And the partially melted portion of the substrate layers of the first and second elastic laminates and the plurality of elastic strands are then bonded together by being compressed between the pattern surface and the anvil roll.
POLYETHYLENE POUCH AND THE FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure is concerned with a method of forming a seal with a polyethylene based film structure. The polyethylene based film structure has at least one layer formed with an oriented polyethylene having a predetermined melting temperature (T.sub.m). A conductive heat sealing device provides heat to form the seal, where a first sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a first operating temperature of at least 10 degrees Celsius (° C.) below the T.sub.m of the oriented polyethylene in the polyethylene based film structure and a second sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a second operating temperature of at least 15° C. higher than the operating temperature of the first sealing bar. The seal formed with the polyethylene based film structure retains at least 99 percent of its original surface area prior to forming the seal.
TUBE SKIRT DECORATED WITH AN ATTRACTIVE LATERAL WELDING
A flat strip 1, suitable for forming a tube flexible skirt, comprising a decorative film 15 superimposed on a primary film 16, said primary film 16 consisting of a series of polymeric layers and comprising a sealable inner layer 14 at the lower surface 20 of the strip 1, said decorative film 15 comprising a sealable outer layer 7 at the upper surface 19 of the strip 1 and a decorative layer 8, 9.
The primary film 16 comprises means for stabilizing the strip 1 and protecting the decorative layer 8, 9 against heating.
METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF FABRIC BAGS OR CONTAINERS USING HEAT FUSED SEAMS
A method of producing flexible polypropylene fabric bags with heat fused seams comprising providing fabric pieces, wherein each fabric piece has a coated side and an uncoated side; positioning fabric pieces so that a coated side of one fabric piece faces a coated side of another fabric piece; selecting an area of fabric to be joined for forming a seam or joint; applying heat to the area to be joined that is less than the melting point of the fabrics, for forming one or more seams or joints and wherein the heat fused seams or joints of a resulting polypropylene bag retains at least 85% of the fabric strength without using sewing machines.
COPPER OR COPPER ALLOY ARTICLE COMPRISING SURFACE-MODIFIED POLYESTER-BASED RESIN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD
Disclosed is a copper alloy article including: a substrate 10 made of a copper alloy; a polyester-based resin body 40; and a compound layer 20 for bonding the substrate 10 and the polyester-based resin body 40, wherein the compound layer 20 contains; a compound having a nitrogen-containing functional group and a silanol group, and an alkane type amine-based silane coupling agent.
OIL REMOVAL METHOD, BONDING METHOD, ASSEMBLY DEVICE, AND ATMOSPHERIC-PRESSURE PLASMA DEVICE
An object of the present invention is to provide a technique capable of removing oil regardless of a shape of a target object to which the oil is attached. Cutting oil is decomposed by irradiating the cutting oil with a plasma gas containing oxygen plasma. Oxygen radicals decompose a carbon element and a hydrogen element constituting the oil into carbon dioxide and water, respectively, to remove the oil. Therefore, paraffin and ester contained in the cutting oil can be decomposed by irradiating the cutting oil with the plasma gas containing oxygen plasma. Since the plasma gas can flow along a shape of a target object, the oil can be removed regardless of a shape of a portion of the target object to which the oil is attached.
Method for welding molded bodies
A process for welding a first molding to a second molding. The process uses an implement including first and second external surfaces. Each external surface further includes a duct. An end of the first molding is heated by a hot gas while the end is at a distance from the duct-entry plane in the range from 3 mm outside the duct to 10 mm inside the duct. A junction area of the second molding is heated by a hot gas while the junction area is at a distance from the duct-entry plane in a range from 3 mm outside the duct to 10 mm inside the duct. The heated end and the heated junction area are then brought into contact with one another and cooled, forming a weld between the first molding and the second molding. Also disclosed is a welded molding obtainable by the process of the invention.
JOINED ARTICLE PRODUCTION METHOD AND JOINED ARTICLE
A production method for a joined object is a method for producing a joined object by joining two objects together. The method includes: irradiating joining surfaces of the respective two objects with plasma; and bonding the joining surfaces irradiated with plasma, at a temperature lower than a melting point of a substance included in the objects.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURES AND METHODS OF FORMING COMPOSITE STRUCTURES
Composite structures and methods of forming composite structures are provided. The composite structures can include one or more composite structure components. Each composite structure component is formed from a composite panel that includes one or more sheets of material. The sheets of material include a thermoplastic material and a plurality of reinforcing fibers. A composite panel can be formed in three dimensions to form a composite structure component. Multiple composite structure components can be fused to one another to form a composite structure. In addition, each composite structure component and the composite structure formed therefrom can include an aperture. An interior volume can be formed between adjacent composite structure components. Methods for forming a composite structure can include a step of simultaneously molding and fusing composite structure components.
