Method for intermittent ultrasonic processing of a length of material
The present invention relates to a method for intermittent ultrasonic processing of a length of material, wherein a length of material is moved through between a sonotrode and a counter-tool and the length of material is processed intermittently. In order to specify a method for intermittent ultrasonic processing of a length of material by which the disadvantages of the prior art can be avoided or at least reduced, according to the invention it is suggested that in a processing interval the sonotrode is stimulated by an ultrasonic oscillation with an oscillation amplitude A and in a movement interval the sonotrode is stimulated with an oscillation amplitude B, wherein B<A and during the processing interval and during the movement interval the length of material touches both the sonotrode and also the counter-tool.

Automatic control panel for vulcanizing press and method of using thereof
An automatic control unit for field vulcanizing press is provided. The control unit helps to monitor and control all three essential vulcanizing parameters viz. temperature, pressure and time, either locally or through remote access. Data logging, local monitoring & control of vulcanizing parameters or remote monitoring and control of vulcanizing parameters using a smart device are the major features of this control unit in which remote monitoring and control of vulcanizing parameters is the unique feature of this control unit. A video recording unit is also provided to record entire splicing operation and also there is option for online video streaming facility and it will help to monitor the entire splicing operation from a remote-control station.
ANCHORING IN A LIGHTWEIGHT BUILDING ELEMENT
A method of anchoring a connector in a heterogeneous first object that includes a first building layer and, distally of the first building layer, an interlining layer. The method includes providing the first object and the connector, which includes thermoplastic material in a solid state; contacting the connector with the first building layer; applying a first mechanical pressing force to the connector until the first building layer is pierced by the connector and a distal portion of the connector reaches into the interlining layer; applying a second mechanical pressing force and mechanical vibration to the connector until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material is flowable and penetrates structures of the first object, and a distally facing abutment face of the head portion abuts against the metal profile in a region next to the opening; and letting the thermoplastic material resolidify to yield a positive-fit connection.
Method for controlling an ultrasonic machining process
Invention relating to a method for controlling an ultrasonic machining, in which an ultrasonic vibration is transmitted via a sonotrode into the material to be machined. During the first machining interval, a first welding variable of the group S, consisting of the frequency f and the amplitude ü of the ultrasonic vibration, the force F, which the sonotrode exerts on the material to be machined, the power P, which the generator delivers, and the speed v, with which the sonotrode is moved in the direction of the material to be machined, is kept constant until a first target variable of the group Z adopts a predetermined value. During an adjoining second machining interval, a second welding variable of the group S is kept constant until a second target variable of the group Z adopts a predetermined value, wherein the first and the second target variable differ.
Method for butt fusion of polyethylene pipe
A method for minimizing the time to form a polyethylene pipe e joint comprises the steps of performing a butt-fusion process until the beginning of the full cooling cycle; holding an interfacial pressure through a minimum cool time calculated using a formula based on the wall thickness of the pipe e, the initial bulk temperature of the pipe e, and a heat soak time; and releasing the interfacial pressure from the fused pipe e joint at the end of the calculated minimum cool time.

SEALING METHOD USING A THIN FLEXIBLE LID TO HERMETICALLY CLOSE A WIDE OPENING, DELIMITED BY AN INNER FLANGE, OF A CONTAINER
In the sealing method, a flexible lid is adhered onto a ring portion of a flange that delimits a wide opening of the container to be sealed. The flange is tapering upwardly at least before the sealing of the flexible lid, so as to define a slope angle between 5 and 20 to the horizontal at the ring portion. The body of the container includes a side wall and the flange connected to an annular axial end of the side wall, the flange surrounding the opening and being an internal flange protruding radially inward. The ring portion is axially pushed and heated, typically by action of a sealing head. The body is typically in PET and the flange has a radial extension superior to about 2.0 mm and inferior or equal to 5.0 mm.
Bonding objects together
A method of bonding a connector to a first object includes providing the first object and the connector, the connector extending between a proximal end and a distal end and has a connector body that forms a distally facing punching edge. At least one of the connector and of the first object includes a thermoplastic material in a solid state. The method further includes driving the connector into the first object and coupling mechanical vibration into the connector until the connector extends through a portion of the first object from a proximal side to a distal side thereof and material of the first object is punched out by the connector body, and until at least a flow portion of the thermoplastic material becomes flowable and flows relative to the first object and the connector body while the connector body remains solid. Thereafter, the thermoplastic material is allowed to re-solidify.
