FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN PULTRUDED PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is a fiber-reinforced resin pultruded product obtained by molding a fiber sheet, wherein the fiber sheet is a semi-preg sheet in which a thermoplastic resin serving as a matrix for the pultruded product is fused to at least a fiber surface, and, in the fiber-reinforced resin pultruded product, the fiber sheet has been pultruded, and the thermoplastic resin fills an inside of the fiber sheet and spaces between overlapping portions of the fiber sheet and is integrated with the fiber sheet. A molded product 40 is molded by converging a fiber sheet 33 and feeding the fiber sheet into a heating section 34 of a pultrusion die 37; compressing the fiber sheet while heating the fiber sheet to a temperature equal to or above the melting point or a resin flow temperature of the thermoplastic resin in the heating section 34; molding the fiber sheet in a molding section 35; cooling the fiber sheet in a cooling section 36 to obtain a pultruded product; and pulling the pultruded product out of the pultrusion die 37 using pulling rollers 38a and 38b.

A method for producing a composite material in which a first fabric and a second fabric made from a fiber material are impregnated with a thermosetting resin and integrally molded, wherein a resin flow path through which thermosetting resin flows is provided between the first fabric and the second fabric, and the first fabric and the second fabric are impregnated with thermosetting resin from the resin flow path as well as being impregnated with thermosetting resin from the surface.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PULTRUDED ARTICLE
A device for producing a pultruded article is provided with: a mold in which an intermediate molded article comprising reinforcing fibers impregnated with a thermosetting resin is heated and hardened; and a pultrusion device that causes a pultruded article generated by heating and hardening the intermediate molded article in the mold to be pultruded from the mold. The mold comprises a pressing member that is elastically deformable and that presses the intermediate molded article.
A TAPE-SHAPED PREPREG AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention aims to provide a tape-shaped prepreg including unidirectionally oriented reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin composition and being high in handleability during molding and high in adhesiveness to other members. The tape-shaped prepreg includes unidirectionally oriented reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin composition and has an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of 0.1 to 10 m in a direction perpendicular to the orientation direction of the reinforcing fibers, as measured according to JIS B 0601: 2013, and a warpage rate of 5% or less as determined by the procedure specified in (i) to (iii) below: (i) place a test piece of the above tape-shaped prepreg having a length of 100 mm in the fiber orientation direction on a plane in such manner that the end portions curl upward, (ii) measure the vertical distance from the highest position at the right end of the curled tape to the plane, which is denoted by a, and the vertical distance from the highest position at the left end to the plane, which is denoted by b, and calculate the arithmetic average of a and b, which is defined as the warpage distance, and (iii) calculate the warpage rate by the following equation: warpage rate (%)=warpage distance (mm)/100 (mm)100.
Pultrusion of continuous sections having discontinuous cross-sectional profile
A pultrusion device and method are provided for producing a fiber-reinforced continuous section which has a second cross-sectional profile that is discontinuous in a direction of pultrusion with a press forming device for shaping the continuous section. The press forming device includes a first shaping device for producing the continuous section with a continuous cross-sectional profile and a second shaping device, which follows on from the first shaping device in the direction of pultrusion, for shaping the second discontinuous cross-sectional profile of the continuous section. A punching tool is arranged between the first shaping device and the second shaping device and is designed to bring about a local change in shape of the continuous cross-sectional profile, at least in a defined portion of the continuous section, in order to produce a first discontinuous cross-sectional profile of the continuous section.
Methods for fiber reinforced additive manufacturing
Various embodiments related to three dimensional printers, and reinforced filaments, and their methods of use are described. In one embodiment, a void free reinforced filament is fed into an extrusion nozzle. The reinforced filament includes a core, which may be continuous or semi-continuous, and a matrix material surrounding the core. The reinforced filament is heated to a temperature greater than a melting temperature of the matrix material and less than a melting temperature of the core prior to extruding the filament from the extrusion nozzle.
PULTRUSION PROCESS OF FORMING MULTI-LAYERED STRUCTURES OF DISSIMILAR MATERIALS USING A MULTI-DIE PULTRUSION DEVICE
A method for forming a multi-layered structure includes forming a resin-infused fibrous material (70) by applying a liquid resin component (60) onto the fibrous material (32) being pulled through an injection box (110) such that the fibrous material is partially impregnated and surrounded by the liquid resin component to form a resin-infused fibrous material. The resin-infused fibrous material is then introduced to a first die (130) and partially cured to form a partially-cured fiber-reinforced core material (80). The core material exits the first die to an intermediate region, where a polymer layer (40) is then applied onto at least a portion of the outer profile surface of the core material. The material then enters a second die (140), where the liquid resin component is fully cured to form a fiber-reinforced thermoset core material (30) having the polymer layer adhered thereon within the second die, thus forming the multi-layered structure (20).
COMPOSITES PRODUCT; A PULTRUSION CONTINUOUS METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
The composite pultruded products either in I profile or Plate profile of higher cross sectional area where said products consisting essentially synthetic polyester felts as core impregnated with a resin system comprises of at least one resin, curing system comprising a curing agent and an accelerator, a filler, a thinner, pigment or any other additives; encapsulated between bi-directionally and/or uni-directionally oriented synthetic fabric selected from polyester, carbon, aramid, glass, basalt and mixtures thereof impregnated with said resin system are provided. In another composite pultruded products either in I profile or Plate profile of higher cross sectional area where said products consisting of plank of short fibers bagasse premixed with the said resin system as core is enclosed between the synthetic polyester felts impregnated with the resin system which is further enclosed between bi-directionally and/or uni-directionally oriented synthetic fabric selected from polyester, carbon, aramid, glass, basalt and mixtures thereof impregnated with the resin system. The system and method for the preparation of said composite pultruded products are also illustrated herein. These products lead to a significant reduction in weight and reduction in density with higher stiffness and bending strength. The present composite products are encapsulated by fabrics in the peripheral area bringing more integrity uniformity of synthetic polyester felt materials. This leads to a significant cost reduction without sacrificing much tensile strength.
