Light-control panel with layered optical components

Light-control panels including layered optical components are described in this application. An example of a light-control panel includes first and second glazing layers and first and second switchable components extending between the first and second glazing layers. The light-control panel also includes a thermal coating extending between the first switchable component and the first glazing layer and a filter extending between the first and second switchable components.

A laminated glazing with an optically transparent area including at least one inner and one outer glass sheet, each having an internal and an external face, and being high level of near infrared radiation transmission glass sheets, at least one thermoplastic interlayer to laminate the at least the inner and the outer glass sheets, including at least a first zone and a second zone, the second zone being delimited by the optically transparent area, and at least one optical sensor device provided on the inner face of the inner pane integrated in the optically transparent area. The thermoplastic interlayer further includes a second zone delimited by the optically transparent area where the laminated glazing has a value of infrared transmission TIR1 higher than the value of infrared transmission TIR2 of the first zone for the working wavelengths of the optical device.

A laminated glazing and a method for its production is disclosed. One or more coatings and layers are applied onto or disposed between a pair of sheets to produce such laminated glazing that enhances an accuracy and reliability of an optical sensor coupled thereto. More particularly, the laminated glazing includes an antireflective layer to facilitate a light transmission of at least 80% for a plurality of wavelengths through the laminated glazing.

The invention concerns an automotive glazing comprising (i) at least one glass sheet having an absorption coefficient lower than 5 m.sup.−1 in the wavelength range from 1051 nm to 1650 nm and having an external face and an internal face, and (ii) an infrared filter. According to the present invention, an infrared-based remote sensing device in the wavelength range from 1051 nm to 1650 nm, is placed on the internal face of the glass sheet in a zone free of the infrared filter layer.

A viscoelastic plastic interlayer intended to be arranged between two glass sheets of a glazing in order to provide it with vibroacoustic damping properties, includes two outer layers of thermoplastic adhesive, an inner layer arranged between the two outer layers, the inner layer having a loss factor tan δ greater than or equal to 1.6 at 20° C. and for a frequency range of between 2 kHz and 8 kHz, and first and second barrier layers arranged respectively between the outer layers and the inner layer 3, and composed of a viscoelastic plastic material.

HIGH EFFICIENCY INFRARED REFLECTOR HAVING REDUCED COLOR

Infrared reflectors are described. In particular, infrared reflectors with reduced off-axis color are described. Such infrared reflectors may be useful in laminated glass constructions, particularly for applications where the glass may be exposed to water.
