The glove can further comprise a cuff, such as a user tightenable cuff comprises a band fastening portion, configured such that, in use, if a tool tethered to the anchor point is dropped, the cuff secures the glove tightly to a wrist to withstand the forces exerted on the anchor point.
Patient Mittens
Various embodiments of patient-mittens are disclosed and described. Such embodiments may include a hand-cover portion attached to a hollow elongate-sleeve portion. The hand-cover portion may cover the hand and fingers, preventing the patient from scratching themselves. The elongate-sleeve portion may cover a majority of an arm. Opposite from the hand-cover portion, there may be an arm-grabber attached at an end of the elongate-sleeve. This arm-grabber may squeeze the upper arm, above the elbow, to help keep the patient-mitten from coming off. Some embodiments, may include an access-slit on the elongate-sleeve for placing IVs and the like in a patient wearing the patient-mitten. The patient-mitten may help to minimize IVs and vital sign sensors from becoming dissociated from the patient. Some embodiments may be UV permeable to encourage vitamin D production in the patient. Some embodiments may provide a conducive environment for treating skin conditions on the arm, hand, or fingers.
FLASHLIGHT ASSEMBLY
Implementations of a flashlight assembly having a padded article of manufacturer configured to secure a lighting to the back of a wearer's hand and to secure a switch to activate the light adjacent a user's index figure with at least a portion of the wearer's hand and fingers exposed is provided.
Glove with light
A thermally and/or electrically insulative glove includes an outer back surface of molded silicone. A retainer is integrally molded with the glove body on the outer back surface to define a retainer cavity between the retainer and the outer back surface. The retainer cavity has a light opening and an access opening and is sealed by the outer back surface from the interior of the glove. A self-contained lamp is positionable in the retainer cavity through the light opening. an ON/OFF pushbutton switch is provided on the body of the self-contained lamp. The retainer includes a flexible wall with a protrusion, the protrusion being aligned with the on/off pushbutton switch with the lamp fully positioned in the retainer cavity.
Cooling system for an occupant of an occupant support and a cooling garment
A cooling system for an occupant of an occupant support comprises a coolant conduit having an inlet for receiving coolant and an outlet for discharging the coolant to a destination. The conduit is nonpermanently and manually shape adjustable, shape stable subsequent to adjustment, and removably securable to the occupant support, the occupant or both. In one embodiment the destination is an ambient environment selected to achieve targeted coolant delivery to a localized region of the occupant's body. A cooling glove to be worn by a user has at least one coolant intake and at least one of a) a coolant passage extending from the coolant intake to an exhaust opening which exhausts coolant to an ambient environment; and b) a cooperative relationship with the user which defines a fluid pathway bounded in part by the glove and in part by the user and which discharges coolant to an ambient environment.
Self-Defense Glove
A self-defense glove. The self-defense glove includes a body having a palm portion, a rear portion, and a plurality of finger openings, each of the finger openings configured to receive a finger therethrough. A pocket configured to receive a spray-deterrent canister such as a pepper spray canister is disposed on the rear portion. A control is disposed on the palm portion. When activated by a user, the control is configured to actuate the pepper spray canister, causing pepper spray to be emitted therefrom. The control is also configured to actuate at least one electrode sending an electrical current therethrough. The user may aim the pepper spray canister in the direction of an attacker and activate the control in order to incapacitate the attacker with the pepper spray. The rear portion further includes a warning label and a light thereon in order to deter would-be assailants from initiating a confrontation.
