CONTROLLER, CONTROL METHOD, AND IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE
20230150266 · 2023-05-18 ·

There is provided a controller for an image recording device. The image recording device includes: a carriage capable of moving in a first direction; a head mounted on the carriage and configured to discharge a liquid from a nozzle; and a wiper capable of being impregnated with a cleaning liquid, a nozzle surface of the head including a first region not having the nozzle and a second region having the nozzle. The controller is configured to execute: a pressing-against processing of abutting the wiper on the first region in a state in which a speed of a relative movement in the first direction between the carriage and the wiper is a first speed; and a moving processing of moving the carriage and the wiper relative to each other in the first direction at a second speed faster than the first speed, while abutting the wiper on the second region.

DETERMINING ALIGNMENT OF A PRINTHEAD

A method is described in which a difference in height is determined between a current position and a calibration position of a printhead of a printer. An alignment value for the printhead is then determined based on the difference.

An inkjet printer includes an inkjet head having multiple nozzles that eject an ultraviolet-curable ink, an ultraviolet irradiator that cures the ink, a carriage on which the inkjet head and the ultraviolet irradiator are mounted, a carriage drive mechanism that moves the carriage in a main scanning direction, and a controller that controls the ultraviolet irradiator. A part of the ultraviolet irradiator disposed at the same position as the inkjet head in a sub scanning direction is a head position ultraviolet irradiation portion. The controller makes a peak illuminance of ultraviolet with which the head position ultraviolet irradiation portion irradiates the ink when the carriage moves at a moving speed V2 lower than a peak illuminance of ultraviolet with which the head position ultraviolet irradiation portion irradiates the ink when the carriage moves at a moving speed V1, where the moving speed V2 is lower than the moving speed V1.

Bioprinter for the fabrication of tissue

Described herein are bioprinters comprising: one or more printer heads, wherein a printer head comprises a means for receiving and holding at least one cartridge, and wherein said cartridge comprises contents selected from one or more of: bio-ink and support material; a means for calibrating the position of at least one cartridge; and a means for dispensing the contents of at least one cartridge. Further described herein are methods for fabricating a tissue construct, comprising: a computer module receiving input of a visual representation of a desired tissue construct; a computer module generating a series of commands, wherein the commands are based on the visual representation and are readable by a bioprinter; a computer module providing the series of commands to a bioprinter; and the bioprinter depositing bio-ink and support material according to the commands to form a construct with a defined geometry.

Controller and method for activating a print head

A controller for operating a print head is described, which controller is designed to shift the activation points in time of the print head for printing of different lines of a print image on a recording medium relative to the line signal points in time, said line signal points in time being dependent on the transport velocity of the recording medium, such that the print head is operated with quantized operating frequencies from a set of predefined quantized operating frequencies. The print quality of the print head may thus be increased.

LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND LIQUID DISCHARGE METHOD

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge unit, a position detector, and circuitry. The liquid discharge unit has a liquid discharge port and discharges a liquid from the liquid discharge port toward an object. The position detector detects a position of the liquid discharge unit relative to the object. The circuitry calculates a movement trajectory of the liquid discharge unit based on the position of the liquid discharge unit detected by the position detector. Further, the circuitry performs a first operation of causing the liquid discharge unit to move along the movement trajectory without discharging the liquid and performs a second operation of causing the liquid discharge unit to move along the movement trajectory while discharging the liquid to the object after the first operation.
