PRINT ELEMENT SUBSTRATE AND PRINTING DEVICE
A print element substrate and a printing device which can suppress lowering of an image quality are provided. For that purpose, a heater, a sub-heater, and a driver are arranged in each heating area, and a plurality of the heating areas is arrayed on the print element substrate.
LIQUID DISCHARGE DEVICE AND LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD
A liquid discharge device to perform recording by use of a liquid discharge head including discharge ports to discharge a liquid, pressure generation elements to generate energy to be used to discharge the liquid, and pressure chambers communicating with the discharge ports. The liquid discharge device includes: a control unit to control a temperature of the liquid discharge head by applying heat with heating elements arranged in divided areas of a region of the liquid discharge head where the discharge ports are arranged. When there is recording data for the discharge port in a certain one of the divided areas, the control unit causes the heating element in the divided area to generate heat, and when there is no recording data for the discharge port in the certain divided area, the control unit keeps the heating element in the certain divided area from generating heat.
WIDE ARRAY PRINTHEAD MODULE
A wide array printhead module includes a plurality of printhead die, each of the printhead die includes a number of nozzles. The nozzles form a number of primitives. A nozzle firing heater is coupled to each of the nozzles. An application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) controls a number of activation pluses that activate the nozzle firing heaters for each of the nozzles associated with the primitives. The activation pulses are delayed between each of the primitives via internal delays and external delays to reduce peak power demands of the printhead die. The ASIC determines the internal delays within each printhead die.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, LIFETIME DETERMINATION METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING LIFETIME DETERMINATION PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes: an ink-jet head including a storage that stores phase transition ink, the ink jet head forms an image on a recording medium by ejecting the phase transition ink; and one or more hardware processors. The one or more hardware processors change a driving condition of the ink jet head for a case of ejecting the phase transition ink on a basis of a first reading result of a pattern image formed by the ink-jet head; estimate occurrence of a state change of the phase transition ink in the storage when the driving condition that is changed satisfies a predetermined condition; and determine whether a lifetime of the ink jet head is over in accordance with whether the occurrence of the state change is estimated.
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD, LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS, AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL METHOD FOR LIQUID EJECTION HEAD
In order to keep possible local temperature differences in a liquid ejection head small to allow stable liquid ejection performance to be achieved, temperatures in a plurality of heating areas in a liquid ejection head are discretely controlled using heating elements and temperature detection elements.
LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS AND MAINTENANCE METHOD OF LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A printer includes an ink ejecting section that ejects ink from a nozzle, an ink circulation path including an ink flow path through which the ink can be supplied to an ink ejecting section and an ink return path through which the ink supplied to the ink ejecting section is returned, a warming device including a temperature control module provided in the ink circulation path, where the warming device can heat the ink in the temperature control module, and a feed pump that can flow the ink in the ink circulation path, wherein the flow rate of the ink, in the ink circulation path, heated by the warming device is adjusted.
Liquid ejection head, recording apparatus and heat radiation method for liquid ejection head
Provided is a liquid ejection head including: a plurality of recording element substrates including energy generating elements that generate ejection energy for ejecting liquid from ejection orifices; a first support member that supports the plurality of recording element substrates such that the recording element substrates are arranged in one or more lines on a main surface of the first support member; and a second support member that supports the first support member on a surface opposite to the main surface. A first thermal resistance concerning an in-plane direction parallel to the main surface, of a region between the recording element substrates in the first support member is higher than a second thermal resistance concerning a thickness direction of the second support member, of a projection region that overlaps with each recording element substrate in the second support member.
Fluid pump actuation on a fluid ejection device
A fluid ejection device may include fluid ejectors, fluid pumps to circulate fluid to the fluid ejectors, a first actuation signal line and at least one second actuation signal line. The first actuation signal line is connected to each of the fluid ejectors and each of the fluid pumps along which a first signal is transmittable to actuate a selected one of fluid ejectors and the fluid pumps. The at least one second actuation signal line is connected to the fluid pumps along which a second signal is transmittable to actuate a selected one of the fluid pumps.
Printing apparatus and data transfer method
According to an embodiment of this invention, the following data transfer between a printhead and a printing apparatus is performed. That is, a priority is set for each of a plurality of data to transfer the plurality of data. Print timings of the printhead are generated in accordance with a relative moving speed between the printhead and a print medium, and the print resolution of the printhead. Data to be transferred to the printhead in an interval between the generated print timing and the next print timing following the print timing are selected from the plurality of data based on the interval, the data length of each of the plurality of data, and the set priorities. The selected data are transferred to the printhead.
TEMPERATURE UNIFORMITY ACROSS AN INKJET HEAD USING PIEZOELECTRIC ACTUATION
Systems and method of maintaining a uniform temperature distribution in an inkjet head. The inkjet head includes a plurality of ink channels that jet droplets of a liquid material onto a medium using piezoelectric actuators. A temperature controller includes a non-jetting pulse generator that provides non-jetting pulses to one or more of the piezoelectric actuators to generate heat. The non-jetting pulses cause the the piezoelectric actuators to actuate without jetting a droplet from its corresponding ink channel.
