An object of the present invention is to provide a glove in which a hand can be easily inserted and removed through an opening and which is less likely to shift from a suitable position when the glove is in a wearing state. An aspect of the present invention is a glove including: a glove main body having an opening through which a wearer's hand is able to be inserted and removed and a notch which extends from the opening toward a fingertip side, the glove main body covering the hand; a tongue piece, one end of which is fastened to the glove main body on a dorsal side of the hand with respect to a palm surface and on a thumb side with respect to the notch, and an other end of which is a free end; and a restricting portion which is fastened to the glove main body and is capable of restricting movement of the free end of the tongue piece on the dorsal side of the hand with respect to the palm surface and on a pinky finger side with respect to the notch, wherein on the dorsal side of the hand with respect to the palm surface and on the thumb side with respect to a middle finger, the notch extending from the opening toward the fingertip side is formed in the glove main body, and the restricting portion is configured to enable restricting such that the free end is positioned on the fingertip side with respect to the one end of the tongue piece.

A garment is provided that includes an outer tubular garment portion and an inner tubular garment portion that are each fabricated from the same, continuous piece of protective material. By being formed from continuous portion of material, a user is provided with protection from ingress of fluids around an appendage when such fluid might be otherwise introduced through breaks in the material that rely entirely on a circumferential seam to secure separate pieces of material together. The inner tubular portion is not removable or severable from the outer tubular garment portion but is extendible to allow a user flexibility of use (e.g., stretching) without sacrificing performance. A method of creating a circumferentially continuous fluid impervious seal is also provided.

The glove comprises a hand portion within which a wearer's hand is placed and a wrist wrap attached to a proximal edge of the hand portion and configured to extend around the wearer's wrist when the wearer's hand is placed in the hand portion. The wrist wrap can include a slit that extends lengthwise within the wrist wrap. When the wearer is also wearing a watch, the watch can be inserted through the slit so that the wrist wrap will be positioned on each side of the watch thereby allowing the face of the watch to remain visible while still providing support to the wrist. A split wrist wrap without a hand portion is also provided.

In some embodiments, the hand portion includes at least one digit receptacle and a thumb receptacle. In certain embodiments, an arcuate opening may be formed in the dorsal side of the hand covering extending from a lateral portion of the hand covering positioned opposite the thumb receptacle, across the dorsal side of the hand covering, and to the thumb receptacle. A closure fastener may be operably attached to the arcuate opening and configured to open and close the arcuate opening such that a user can remove a thumb and digit from the hand portion without moving the wrist portion.

The trigger finger sleeve has a protective pad extending along a proximal back side thereof, and an unprotected distal portion extending from a distal end of the protective pad to a distal end of the trigger finger sleeve. A conductive tab is positioned on one or more sleeves for use in operating a touch screen while wearing the glove. The conductive tab can be provided on only one sleeve, such as the middle finger sleeve. Flame resistant padding is provided along a back side of the glove.

A hand restraint of flexible, high tensile strength material forming three separate cavities for slidably receiving and isolating the thumb, index finger, and remaining third, fourth, and fifth fingers in a closed fist-like configuration, respectively is provided. The material and cavities prevents wearers from gripping, manipulating and using weapons or other articles, yet providing them the ability to pinch the index finger and thumb together to grip smaller articles, such as forms of identifications and writing implements. Along a peripheral portion, the hand restraint may provide webbing at the junction of the index finger and thumb portions for further restraining manipulation of weapons. The hand restraint provides securing devices along its wrist portion for enabling the wearer to remove their own hand restraint upon conclusion of the need for the device.

At least one of the protective gloves can include a flame resistant glove body including a palm sleeve, a thumb sleeve, a trigger finger sleeve, and a plurality of finger sleeves extending distally from the palm sleeve. The trigger finger sleeve also has an unprotected distal portion extending from a distal end of the protective pad to a distal end of the trigger finger sleeve. The finger sleeve further includes a protective member covering a first portion of a side of the trigger finger sleeve and including an indentation adjacent a second portion of the side of the trigger finger sleeve. Respective conductive tabs can be positioned on one or more sleeves to operate a touch screen while wearing a protective glove.
