According to one embodiment, an inkjet head includes a pressure chamber for ink, a nozzle plate including a nozzle connected to the pressure chamber, an actuator to change a volume of the pressure chamber, and a drive circuit that drives the actuator. The drive circuit drives the actuator according to a drive waveform including an expansion waveform, a first weak contraction waveform, a contraction waveform, and a second weak contraction waveform.

A printing apparatus comprising a printing element substrate, including a substrate including a heating element for heating and discharging liquid and a temperature detecting element for detecting a temperature of the substrate, wherein a detection period, during which a detecting result is obtainable, extends across a plurality of cycles of a latch signal, and a heating enabling signal for discharging the liquid and the latch signal are output such that, in the detection period, an output value of a temperature waveform does not exceed a preset threshold value, the temperature waveform being a temperature waveform of the substrate detected by the temperature detecting element.
Zonal firing signal adjustments
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic die is described. The fluidic die includes a number of zones. Each zone includes a number of sets of fluidic devices. Each fluidic device includes a fluid chamber and a fluid actuator disposed in the chamber. Each fluidic device also includes a sensor to sense a characteristic of the zone and an adjustment device. The adjustment device 1) delays a firing signal received from a previous zone as it passes by each set of fluidic devices and 2) adjusts the firing signal as it enters the zone based on a sensed characteristic.
FLUIDIC DIE WITH HIGH ASPECT RATIO POWER BOND PADS
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic die is described. The fluidic die includes a substrate and fluid actuators, the fluid actuators being disposed on the substrate. The fluidic die also includes a bond pad region defined on the substrate. The bond pad region includes a high aspect ratio power delivery bond pad with multiple bonding sites and a high aspect ratio power return bond pad with multiple bonding sites.

A liquid discharge method includes: calculating a first print time to print original image data on a print medium; generating rotated image data by rotating the original image data by a predetermined angle; calculating a second print time to print the rotated image data on the print medium; comparing the first print time and the second print time to determine whether the first print time is larger than the second print time; generating print image data according to the rotated image data in response to a determination in which the first print time is larger than the second print time; generating print image data according to the original image data in response to a determination in which the first print time is smaller than the second print time; and displaying a position and a direction of the print medium based on the print image data.
ELEMENT SUBSTRATE, LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD, AND PRINTING APPARATUS
An element substrate according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of print elements and a plurality of drive elements for driving the plurality of print elements. The element substrate comprises a generation circuit configured to generate a first drive signal that drives drive elements belonging to a first group among the plurality of drive elements, and a second drive signal that drives drive elements belonging to a second group among the plurality of drive elements, using a selector configured to switch a signal transmitted from outside of the element substrate and an output destination of the signal within one block period in driving the plurality of drive elements by dividing the plurality of elements into the plurality of blocks. The first drive signal and the second drive signal are generated at different timings.
INTEGRATED CIRCUITS INCLUDING CUSTOMIZATION BITS
An integrated circuit to drive a plurality of fluid actuation devices includes a plurality of first non-volatile memory cells and control logic. Each first non-volatile memory cell stores a customization bit. The control logic configures an operation of the integrated circuit based on the customization bits.
Fluidic die
A fluidic die may include a substrate supporting a fluid actuator address line and first and second groups of fluid actuators connected to the fluid actuator address line. The first group of fluid actuators may include first and second types of fluid actuators having different operating characteristics. The second group of fluid actuators may include the first and the second types of fluid actuators. The fluid actuators of the first and second groups have addresses such that a fluid actuator of the first type in the first group and a fluid actuator of the second type in the second group are both enabled in response to a single enabling event on the fluid actuator address line.

A liquid ejection apparatus includes: an ejection unit that ejects from an ejection port a liquid in a pressure chamber communicating with the ejection port; a first flow channel that allows for communication between the pressure chamber and a liquid supply unit; a second flow channel communicating with the pressure chamber; a liquid transportation chamber communicating with a connection flow channel communicating with the first flow channel and the second flow channel; a liquid transportation unit that flows the liquid in the liquid transportation chamber in a predetermined direction by expanding and contracting the liquid transportation chamber with application of a driving voltage including a step-up waveform and a step-down waveform; and a control unit that performs control such that a liquid ejection timing does not coincide with a voltage application period in which one of the step-up and step-down waveforms that has a greater voltage change rate is applied.
Communicating print component
An integrated circuit for a print component including a number of memory bits. The integrated circuit may include a selection circuit to select at least one memory bit of the number of memory bits and fire actuators of a fire pulse group. The integrated circuit may include a memory voltage regulator to provide a write voltage to the at least one memory bit of the number of memory bits.
