Apparatus and method for processing substrate

The present disclosure provides a method for processing a substrate that can maintain a production amount even when a production model is changed. The method for processing a substrate comprises: disposing the substrate on a levitation stage; measuring a distance between the substrate and an inkjet head module; and changing a discharging speed of ink to be discharged from the inkjet head module based on the measured distance.

Printer with high productivity media scanning

A media thickness detection system for inkjet printing applications monitors the thickness of media entering the printer to ensure correct printing performance by adjusting the position of the printheads on-the-fly to assure printing quality. Media that do have an acceptable printing thickness are passed through the printer without stopping operation of the printer transport and without being printed upon and are routed directly to a reject facility. Embodiments also prevent damage to the printer by immediately stopping operation of the printer when substrate thickness deviates significantly from an expected value due to variations in thickness that result from manufacturing tolerances or damage to the substrate.

RECORDING DEVICE AND CONROL METHOD FOR RECORDING DEVICE

A recording device includes a facing section disposed facing a recording section and a movement unit configured to move the recording section by receiving power from a motor. A control section sets an origin position of the recording section in a movement direction based on a position of the recording section when a signal change of a linear encoder disappears in a state where a signal change of a rotary encoder exists while the recording section is being lowered toward the facing section or a position of the recording section when the signal change of the linear encoder appears in a state where the signal change of the rotary encoder exists while the recording section is being raised from a state of being placed on the facing section.

An image forming apparatus includes a head, a detector, and circuitry. The head forms an image on a recording medium. The detector detects a vertical movement of the recording medium and a distance to the recording medium in a vertical direction. The detector includes an optical sensor to project light to the recording medium and receive the light reflected from the recording medium. The circuitry sets a first area based on a result of detection performed by the detector. The first area is an area in which the recording medium and the head collide with each other. The circuitry retracts the head to prevent the recording medium and the head from colliding with each other, in a case where a position of the head is in the first area.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a head and circuitry. The head discharges liquid to apply the liquid to an application surface. The circuitry controls discharge of the liquid from the head based on a vertical height of an application position at which the liquid is applied on the application surface.

INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS AND RECORDING POSITION ADJUSTMENT METHOD

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a carriage, a first adjustment unit, a data storage unit, and a first correction value calculation unit, wherein the first adjustment unit adjusts the ejection timings at n scanning speeds in a case where the first adjustment unit adjusts the ejection timings with the adjustment values unstored in the data storage unit, the first adjustment unit adjusts the ejection timings at n-1 or fewer scanning speeds in a case where the first adjustment unit adjusts the ejection timings with the adjustment values stored in the data storage unit, and the first correction value calculation unit uses the correction value calculated based on the adjustment value from the first adjustment unit for an adjustment value at a scanning speed at which an ejection timing is not adjusted.

Portable printer and portable printing system

The present disclosure relates to a portable printer and a portable printing system including: a main body in a portable form configured to accommodate a cartridge including a nozzle that prints an image by delivering a printing material to a target having a soft or hard surface; a seating part that is provided to be exposed to an outside from a lower portion of the main body to face a surface of the target and surrounds the nozzle at least partially; a roller provided at each of the front and rear of the nozzle at the lower portion of the main body, based on a direction in which the main body moves along the surface of the target to deliver the printing material to the target; and a magnetic body configured to rotate in correspondence with rotation of the roller.
