Glove having reinforced fingertips
A glove has a segment secured to an inside surface of one or more finger and/or a thumb. The segment is fully contained within the distal most portions of the one or more finger and/or thumb and does not overlap with any knuckle of the user's finger. The segment doubles the layer of material of the glove in the pad region of the fingertip to improve wear length or wear resistance of the glove.
Protective clothing unit having preferably textile fragment protection equipment
The invention relates to a protective clothing unit, in particular a protective clothing unit having fragment protection, preferably having a protective function against fragments created and/or released by detonation and/or explosion, comprising outerwear and/or underwear and possibly comprising separate head and/or face protection, neck protection, shoulder protection, arm protection, hand protection, trunk protection, torso protection, genital and/or anal protection, and/or leg protection, wherein the protective clothing unit has fragment protection elements, preferably textile fragment protection elements, which are specific and different from each other and which are associated with different body regions when worn and/or cover different body regions when worn, preferably having a protective function against fragments created and/or released by detonation and/or explosion.
Liquid proof gloves having impact protection
A liquid proof glove having impact protection comprises an outer glove portion comprising an outer fabric layer having an inner surface and an outer surface, a polymeric coating adhered to the outer surface of the outer fabric layer, and at least one protective structure adhered to at least one of the polymeric coating or outer fabric layer, or both. The glove further comprises an inner glove portion comprising an inner fabric layer having an outer surface and an inner surface and a liquid proof barrier layer adhered to the outer surface of the inner fabric layer. The liquid proof barrier layer is adhered to the inner surface of the outer fabric layer to join the inner glove portion to the outer glove portion.
PROTECTIVE APPAREL
A gauntlet or protective glove comprising a fabric having a first layer comprising a yarn which is configured to provide mechanical protection (e.g. against abrasion, cuts, puncture and/or tearing); and a second layer comprising an electrically insulating material configured to provide a wearer with protection against electric shock; wherein the gauntlet or protective glove is arranged such that the first layer is outermost when worn.
GLOVE WITH RETRACTABLE TETHER
A glove includes a guide assembly that includes a guide support fixedly attached to the glove body, a guide portion attached to and extending along the guide support to define a fixed path, and a guide device movable along the guide portion between first and second positions. A flexible tether has one end fixedly attached to the glove body at an attachment location along the fixed path. A tether loop on the guide device engages and guides the flexible tether between a retracted position and a deployed position. In the retracted position, the guide device is in the second position and the flexible tether is doubled on itself along the fixed path. In the deployed position, the guide device is in the first position and the tether extends in a single-ply configuration from the guide assembly.
GLOVE
A glove is provided that enables suppression of cracks in a coating layer containing nitrile butadiene rubber as a principal component. The glove comprises: a glove main body made of fibers for covering a wearer's hand; and a coating layer which comprises nitrile butadiene rubber as a principal component and coats at least a part of an outer face of a palm region of the glove main body, in which: the coating layer comprises zinc oxide and a cross-linked product of the nitrile butadiene rubber and polycarbodiimide; and a mass ratio of the polycarbodiimide to the nitrile butadiene rubber is no less than 0.002. The mass ratio of the polycarbodiimide to the nitrile butadiene rubber is preferably no greater than 0.09. The content of the zinc oxide with respect to 100 parts by mass of the nitrile butadiene rubber is preferably from 0.3 to 5 parts by mass.
WORK GLOVES
Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a glove, having a palm-side base material, a backhand-side base material attached to the palm-side base material, and at least one repositionable finger covering operable to selectively cover a finger. A respective repositionable finger covering of the at least one repositionable finger covering is positionable in a finger-covering configuration, in which a finger is not exposed from the glove, and is positionable in a finger-exposed configuration, in which the finger is exposed from the glove while the glove is on a user's hand. When in the finger-covering configuration, a portion of the respective repositionable finger covering is overlapped by the palm-side base material such that the portion of the respective repositionable finger covering is arrangable underneath the palm-side base material.
Patient Mittens
Various embodiments of patient-mittens are disclosed and described. Such embodiments may include a hand-cover portion attached to a hollow elongate-sleeve portion. The hand-cover portion may cover the hand and fingers, preventing the patient from scratching themselves. The elongate-sleeve portion may cover a majority of an arm. Opposite from the hand-cover portion, there may be an arm-grabber attached at an end of the elongate-sleeve. This arm-grabber may squeeze the upper arm, above the elbow, to help keep the patient-mitten from coming off. Some embodiments, may include an access-slit on the elongate-sleeve for placing IVs and the like in a patient wearing the patient-mitten. The patient-mitten may help to minimize IVs and vital sign sensors from becoming dissociated from the patient. Some embodiments may be UV permeable to encourage vitamin D production in the patient. Some embodiments may provide a conducive environment for treating skin conditions on the arm, hand, or fingers.
Wearable metal detection system
A wearable metal detection system. The system includes a glove including a metal detection circuit disposed therein including a power supply, a first speaker, and a wireless transceiver each operably connected to a sensor configured to detect the presence of metal. The system further includes an earpiece including a power supply, a wireless transceiver, and a second speaker. A switch disposed on the glove allows a user to select between the first and second speakers. When the first speaker is selected, the first speaker emits an audible alert upon the sensor detecting metal. When the second speaker is selected, a detection signal is transmitted to the earpiece when the sensor detects a metallic object, and the second speaker then emits an audible alert. The glove may further include an inner lining, an outer layer, and a puncture-proof layer for protecting the wearer from puncture wounds while searching for metallic objects.
