PRINT HEAD MAINTENANCE ASSEMBLY
Disclosed herein is a print head maintenance assembly, a printing device and a method of cleaning a print head. The print head maintenance assembly comprises a maintenance cartridge comprising a wiping subsystem with a wiper for wiping a print head; a scraper assembly with a scraper for cleaning the wiper; and a positioner to adjust a relative position between the scraper and the wiper in a first direction depending on a relative position between the maintenance cartridge and the scraper assembly in a second direction.
Recording head maintenance device and ink-jet recording apparatus provided with the same
A maintenance device includes a wiper, a wiper carriage, a supporting frame, a wiper moving mechanism, and a unit ascending/descending mechanism. The wiper moving mechanism includes a rack supported to the wiper carriage so as to be movable in an up-down direction, a wiper driving motor provided in the supporting frame, a rack driving gear that transmits a driving force of the wiper driving motor to the rack, a sliding member that is rotatably supported to the wiper carriage and comes into contact with the supporting frame, and a gear pitch retention member that maintains constant a positional relationship in the up-down direction between the rack and the rack driving gear during reciprocation of the wiper carriage.
Recording apparatus
A printer includes a line head, a transport unit, a head moving unit, a cap unit, and a wiper unit. The head moving unit moves the line head to a recording position and a retracted position along a B direction. The cap unit is configured to move back and forth in an A direction between the line head and the transport unit. The wiper unit is configured to move back and forth in a Y direction intersecting both the B direction and the A direction between the line head and the transport unit. At least a portion of a first movement area in which the cap unit moves and at least a portion of a second movement area in which the wiper unit moves are disposed at an identical position in the B direction.
SERVICE STATION FOR A THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING SYSTEM
A service station system for a three-dimensional printing system comprises: a bath, having a fast-release connector at a front side thereof, and a hinge at a back side thereof for hingebly connecting an open top of the bath to a surface of the three-dimensional printing system; and a wiper assembly, having a wiper device detachably connected to a wiper base mounted on a rotatable axis passing through the bath. The wiper device wipes a dispensing face of the printing head of the three-dimensional printing system while the head reciprocally moves above the bath between the back side and the front side. The service station system can also comprise a motor for rotating the axis.
Liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes an attachment section to which a liquid storage container having a storage chamber storing a liquid and a communication path communicating with the storage chamber is attached, and a liquid ejecting head configured to eject the liquid from nozzles. The attachment section includes an inlet through which the liquid from the attached liquid storage container flows, a protrusion having a connection port, a seal provided around the protrusion, and an air communication path communicating with the connection port and an air communication port that communicates with the air. The connection port enters the communication path of the attached liquid storage container, and the seal comes into contact with the liquid storage container attached to the attachment section.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head including an ejection port surface and a nozzle cover, wherein the ejection port surface includes an array of a plurality of ejection ports through which ink is to be ejected, and wherein the nozzle cover protrudes downward with respect to the ejection port surface and is disposed on an outer side of the ejection port surface, a wiper unit capable of wiping the ejection port surface and the nozzle cover, and a moving mechanism configured to move the wiper unit relative to the ejection port surface, wherein the wiper unit has a notch at a position at which the notch faces a first step portion between the ejection port surface and the nozzle cover when the wiper unit performs wiping while the wiper unit is moved by the moving mechanism.
Wash fluid for use in inkjet recording apparatus and image formation method
A wash fluid for use in an inkjet recording apparatus contains water, a coconut oil fatty acid surfactant, an organic deliquescent agent, a polyhydric alcohol, and a basic inorganic compound. The polyhydric alcohol is an alkanediol. The coconut oil fatty acid surfactant is contained in an amount of at least 0.01% by mass and no greater than 3.00% by mass. The organic deliquescent agent is contained in an amount of at least 0.10% by mass and no greater than 30.00% by mass.
LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE
A liquid ejecting device includes a liquid ejecting portion configured to eject liquid from a nozzle, a closed space forming portion having a porous member inside thereof, and configured to form a closed space in which the nozzle opens, an discharging portion configured to discharge the liquid in the closed space forming portion, and a control portion configured to, when an amount of the liquid ejected from the liquid ejecting portion into the closed space forming portion reaches a prescribed value, cause the discharging portion to discharge the liquid in the closed space forming portion, wherein the control unit decreases the prescribed value as the number of stops increases, the number of stops being the number of times the liquid ejecting portion is stopped for a prescribed time or longer at a position other than a closed position where the closed space is formed.
RECORDING HEAD AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording head includes an ink ejection portion and an ink holding portion. The ink holding portion includes a sheet portion and a holding portion. The sheet portion has an upper end side fixed to the ink ejection portion and a lower end side movable in a direction of coming closer to or separating away from a side surface of the ink ejection portion. The holding portion is located at a lower end portion of the sheet portion on the ink ejection portion side, is disposed to come into contact with or close to the side surface of the ink ejection portion, and is configured to hold an ink in an adjacent region with respect to the ink ejection portion.
