PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR HUMAN JOINT
A protective device for protecting a proximal interphalangeal joint and a distal interphalangeal joint of a human finger comprises a flexible sheath for wearing around the human finger and at least four motion constraining elements integrated in or secured to the flexible sheath. The motion constraining element is adapted for constraining a lateral and/or rotational deviation motion of a first phalanx with respect to a second phalanx. The motion constraining element covers a lateral side of the flexible sheath at a location corresponding to the joint and is adapted for resisting elongation of the motion constraining element in a longitudinal direction of the flexible sheath. The motion constraining element is bendable in a direction to allow flexion of the joint. The motion constraining elements for the distal interphalangeal joint and for the proximal interphalangeal joint are distinct and separate elements having different points of engagement on the flexible sheath.
Impact protection systems
Disclosed are body impact protection systems. The body impact protection system may comprise at least one plate element layer, such as an interconnected meshed plate element network. Another embodiment may be directed to a protection system comprising at least one plate element layer, such as an interconnected meshed plate element network overlapping and adjacent to at least one liner or gel. Further embodiments may comprise the combination of multiple body impact protection systems in a single protective garment or device. Impact protection systems may be designed to protect various body features, such as for example, the head, shoulders, elbows, arms, wrists, hands, chest, torso, thighs, knees, shins, ankles, feet, and the like. The inventive body impact protection system affords more protection from the force of an impact and comfort than conventional body impact protection systems.
ENERGY ABSORBING SYSTEM
A flexible energy absorbing system comprising a material coated, impregnated and/or combined with a strain rate sensitive substance is disclosed. It is formed so as to define repeating adjacent cells, each cell having a re-entrant geometry such that, upon impact, the material locally densifies at the impact site.
Partial Fingered Gloves for Football or Golf Play
According to the various features characteristics and embodiments of the present invention which will become apparent as the description thereof proceeds, the present invention provides partially fingered gloves and the use of said gloves, intended to increase the overall performance in sports activities including but limited to football and golf. Because of its unique finger configurations, grip enhancers, and/or its hand protective properties, the present invention makes a glove now operable on a football quarterback's throwing hand and on golfers dominant hand, for example.
Protective glove and method of manufacturing the same
The present invention provides a protective glove which improves protection and wearability by integrating protective members using features of thermosetting material and thermoplastic material. The protective glove comprises: a body 10 into which a back of hand, a palm and fingers of a wearer are inserted; a first protective member 20 made from thermosetting material, which is formed to protect a predetermined portion of the wearer's hand and exposed to outside and which is integrally attached to an outer surface of the body 10; and a second protective member 30 made from thermoplastic material, which is formed to protect a predetermined portion of the wearer's hand and is integrated with the first protective member 20, and which is attached to the outer surface of the body 10.
Molded components for protective equipment
Described are protective equipment items including a non-molded component joined to a molded component. The molded component includes a foam layer with an exterior layer and an interior layer, a plurality of molded grooves arranged in the exterior layer and the interior layer, wherein the plurality of molded grooves form bending areas in the three-dimensional molded component, and a fabric layer comprising a stretch material, wherein the fabric layer is bonded to the exterior layer.
Glove for vibration insulation
A glove for vibration insulation comprising a gripping side and a hand-back side, each side comprises an inner surface and an outer surface; wherein said gripping side comprises a palm covering portion and at least one fmger covering portion; and wherein said finger covering portion comprises a first material with a density of at least 1.5 g/cm.sup.3 and an insulation material; and wherein said insulation material is arranged in front of said first material as seen from the outer surface of said gripping surface; and wherein said first material and said insulation material cover at least 20% of the length of said fmger covering portion or wherein the weight of said first material is at least 5 g.
GLOVES WITH A CUT OUT PORTION AND MEHTHODS TO MANUFACTURE GLOVES WITH A CUT OUT PORTION
Embodiments of golf gloves having a cut out portion and methods to manufacture gloves having a cut out portion are generally described herein. Other embodiments of gloves may be described and claimed.
GLOVE STRUCTURE
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a ball glove structure that improves glove functionality for a player of baseball or softball even through provided with a box-like protective thumb-slot. The ball glove generally comprises an outer shell where the shell part Is formed by sewing together a ball catching palm surface part (1) and a backing surface part (2) provided with thumb and finger stalls or slots with a lace (3). The inventive glove structure comprises (A) a box-like thumb protective stall or slot (21) provided with a hem spread opening (21e) having an enlarged angle () at the bottom portion with regard to the center line of the thumb slot for easy movement of the thumb bottom at the time of opening/closing of the glove and also (B) a fixing structure comprising a pair of slits (10a, 10a) for dividing a hand opening band (5) into two parts; one is a thumb side and the other is a little finger side and a pair of straps (11a,11b) for fixing the bottom of the index finger to make a secure movement axis for opening/closing the glove as well as fastening the divided hand opening band for preventing the glove hand from slipping out from the hand opening band. Preferably, the little finger is fixed by the adjustable strap structure (23) to fix the little finger.
GLOVE
A glove includes a glove main body that is stretchable and made of fiber; a coating layer that comprises a synthetic resin or a rubber as a principal component and covers an external face of the glove main body; at least one impact-resistant pad that comprises a synthetic resin or a rubber as a principal component and is arranged to at least a part of a dorsal side portion of an external face side of the coating layer on the glove main body; and an adhesive layer that bonds the coating layer and the impact-resistant pad together, wherein an adhesive constituting the adhesive layer is a moisture-curing urethane-based hot-melt adhesive.
