Garments made from a composite, protective fabric are disclosed. The composite fabric has textile layers placed in proximity to metallic mesh layers of woven stainless steel mesh. The metal mesh layers formed from any metal which forms suitable fibers. The textile layers are fabric formed with well-known fabric fibers selected from those including para-aramid fibers, meta-aramid fibers, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers, polyethylene terephthalate fibers, cellulose fibers, polyamide fibers, a mixture of para-aramid fibers and meta-aramid fibers, and a mixture of para-aramid fibers and carbon fibers. Forming the non-metal textile layers is by any suitable method for interlacing yarns including weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting, or felting, or combinations thereof. The garments made using the fabric include gloves, bullet proof vests and chain-saw resistant trousers.

A protective glove having a unitary dorsal panel formed from an inner scrim material and a plurality of protective elements molded directly to an exterior surface of the inner scrim. The plurality of protective elements are formed in an array of discrete islands each separated by zero-elevation interstitial spaces. The unitary dorsal panel is sewn or otherwise attached circumferentially to the palmer sections of the glove. This array provides increased protection to the user's fingers, hands, wrists, and lower forearms while maintaining flexibility and tactile feel on both palmar and dorsal sides of the glove, increasing flexibility where needed without compromising protection.

The method also includes forming a top skin via molding, the top skin including one or more compartments, and forming a backhand assembly by attaching one or more edges of the one or more compartments of the top skin to the base. At least one remaining edge of each of the one or more compartments is unattached from the base. The method also includes reversing an orientation of the backhand assembly, filling each of the one or more compartments of the top skin with foam, and attaching the at least one remaining edge of each of the one or more compartments to the base.

A thin casing is manufactured by a thin sheet material in a vacuum forming process; protrusions are formed apart from one another on a surface of the thin casing; a containing space is formed on an inner side of each protrusion for filling a filler; and a substrate is provided to seal the bottom of the thin casing, so that the filler in each of the containing spaces will not fall out, so as to improve the manufacturing efficiency and the product quality. The sport protective equipment manufactured by this method does not require any sewing manufacture or increase thickness, so that the flexibility of wearing and using is improved, and the thin casing and the filler are provided for absorbing shocks to improve the protective effect.
