Goalkeeper glove
A glove is provided and includes a cuff providing an opening to the glove. A back panel defines a first portion of finger sheaths and a thumb sheath and extends along the finger sheaths and the thumb sheath to the cuff. A palm panel is disposed on an opposite side of the glove from the back panel and defines a second portion of the finger sheaths and the thumb sheath. The palm panel is formed from a material having a greater coefficient of friction than a material of the back panel and extends along the finger sheaths and the thumb sheath to the cuff. The palm panel tapers in a direction from the finger sheaths to the cuff. A gusset extends between and is attached to the back panel and the palm panel and is formed from a different material than the back panel and the palm panel.
GLOVE
A glove is provided that is superior in impact resistance and allows prevention of dislocation and detachment of an impact-resistant pad. The glove includes: a stretchable glove main body made of fiber; a coating layer comprising a synthetic resin or rubber as a principal component, being laminated to an external face of the glove main body at least in a finger portion and a palm portion; and impact-resistant pads comprising a synthetic resin as a principal component, being provided to at least a part of an external face side of the coating layer on a back hand side of the glove main body, in which the impact-resistant pad is sewn onto the glove main body. The glove main body is preferably seamless. The impact-resistant pad is preferably provided to the finger portion. An internal face of the impact-resistant pad and an external face of the coating layer are preferably smooth.
Protective Garments
Garments made from a composite, protective fabric are disclosed. The composite fabric has textile layers placed in proximity to metallic mesh layers of woven stainless steel mesh. The metal mesh layers formed from any metal which forms suitable fibers. The textile layers are fabric formed with well-known fabric fibers selected from those including para-aramid fibers, meta-aramid fibers, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers, polyethylene terephthalate fibers, cellulose fibers, polyamide fibers, a mixture of para-aramid fibers and meta-aramid fibers, and a mixture of para-aramid fibers and carbon fibers. Forming the non-metal textile layers is by any suitable method for interlacing yarns including weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting, or felting, or combinations thereof. The garments made using the fabric include gloves, bullet proof vests and chain-saw resistant trousers.
Gloves having reinforcements and impact features
Gloves comprising a polymeric coating or layer, optionally including a fabric liner, and at least one reinforcement, disposed on a part(s) of the polymeric coating or layer and/or ac part(s) of the fabric liner, and methods of making the gloves are disclosed.
Articles of apparel incorporating cushioning elements and methods of manufacturing the articles of apparel
A method of making articles of apparel that include a base layer having a first surface and an opposite second surface. The base layer is associated with a thermoplastic polymer element, then an aperture is formed through the base layer and the thermoplastic polymer element. A cushioning elements that may have a first material layer, a second material layer, and a plurality of foam components is positioned proximate the aperture. The first material layer and the second material layer are bonded to the second surface of the base layer. The foam components are located between and secured to the first material layer and the second material layer. In addition, the foam components are positioned to correspond with a location of the aperture.
GLOVE WITH PROTECTIVE STRUCTURE
A glove includes a glove body in a shape of a hand and having a palm side and a dorsal side opposite the palm side. A protective structure is located on the dorsal side and includes a first layer of material, a second layer of material and a plurality of foam members sandwiched between the first layer of material and the second layer of material.
SPORTS GLOVE
A sports glove for being worn by a hand may include a backhand panel and a palm panel joined to the backhand panel to form a palm cavity therebetween. The palm cavity extends from a base portion to a knuckle portion. The sports glove may further include finger stalls extending from the palm cavity, the finger stalls comprising an index finger stall and a thumb stall extending from the palm cavity. The sports glove may further include a slit within the backhand panel, the slit distally extending from the base portion to a terminus between an index metacarpal and a thumb metacarpal of the hand received within the glove. The sports glove may further or alternatively include a wrist strap containing a protective insert that extends in an arc about an ulna side of a forearm.
Dorsal protection for gloves
An impact damper for a glove comprises a solid convex element formed from a resilient material. The convex element has a zenith cavity formed at its zenith. Upon an impact on the convex element, the zenith cavity enables resilient outward deformation of the convex element, and the resilient outward deformation dissipates energy from the impact. The impact damper may further comprise an outwardly deformable wall formed from a resilient material, with the wall circumferentially surrounding and spaced from the convex element. Upon an impact on the convex element, the convex element engages the wall as the convex element deforms, and resilient outward deformation of the wall under urging from the deforming convex element further dissipates the energy from the impact.
Gloves with a cut out portion and methods to manufacture gloves with a cut out portion
Embodiments of golf gloves having a cut out portion and methods to manufacture gloves having a cut out portion are generally described herein. Other embodiments of gloves may be described and claimed.
Body-protector
Body-protector (1,1′) comprising: a wearable article (2,2′); a shock-absorbing pad (3) anchored to the wearable article (2,2′); wherein the shock-absorbing pad (3) comprises a first member (4) configured to absorb shock energy by an irreversible plastic deformation and a second member (5) configured to absorb shock energy by a reversible elastic deformation and wherein the first member (4) is embedded in the second member (5); wherein the first member (4) comprises a plurality of cells (6) interconnected each other via their sidewalls (7) to form a pliable sheet (8) configured to absorb energy through irreversible deformation of said sidewalls (7) or said interconnections in response to a compressive load applied to said sheet (8). Said wearable article (2) being a glove (2′) wherein said shock-absorbing pad (3) is anchored to a back of the glove (2′).
