PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A printing apparatus comprises a carriage including a print head that discharges ink, the carriage reciprocally moving relative to a print medium, a wiping unit configured to wipe a discharge port surface, and a control unit configured to control a movement operation of the carriage and a wiping operation of the wiping unit such that when a deceleration when stopping the carriage is a first deceleration, a time from when the carriage stops to when the wiping unit starts wiping is set to a first time, and when the deceleration when stopping the carriage is a second deceleration lower than the first deceleration, the time from when the carriage stops to when the wiping unit starts wiping is set to a second time shorter than the first time.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus 101 includes a carriage 21 mounted with a liquid storage portion 46 and a recording head 22, the carriage 21 being movable to a visual check position, where liquid in the liquid storage portion 46 is visually checkable through a front surface 43F, and to a recording position, where the recording head 22 ejects the liquid to a medium, and light emitting units 81 and capable of illuminating the inside of the liquid storage portion 46 at least when the carriage 21 is positioned at the visual check position.
Pressure control unit and liquid discharge device including pressure control unit
A pressure control unit includes a liquid storage chamber, an inflow port that allows the liquid to flow therein, and an outflow port that allows the liquid to flow out thereof, the pressure control unit controlling pressure of the liquid, wherein at least part of an outer wall of the liquid storage chamber is formed of a flexible film, a pressing plate that presses the flexible film, an urging member that urges the pressing plate, and a valve that opens and closes the outflow port. The pressing plate moves in a direction of expanding the liquid storage chamber, whereby the valve in contact with the pressing plate moves and makes a valve opening degree of the outflow port high. A range of motion of the valve when making the valve opening degree of the outflow port high is limited by a member other than the pressing plate.
Liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head and a controller. The controller configured to perform: determining whether a discharge failure occurs in a first nozzle; in a case where it is determined that the discharge failure occurs in the first nozzle, determining whether a certain condition is satisfied; in a case where it is determined that the certain condition is satisfied: applying a flushing signal to a second driving element; applying a driving signal to the second driving element; determining whether the discharge failure occurs in a second nozzle; in a case where it is determined that the discharge failure does not occur in the second nozzle, executing a first purge; and in a case where it is determined that the discharge failure occurs in the second nozzle, executing a second purge.
PRINTING FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM
A recharge system can receive an indication of a saturation level of a porous media within a printhead and determine, based on the indication of the saturation level of the porous media, that the saturation level satisfies a threshold to initiate a recharge cycle. The threshold may be higher than a saturation level at which the porous media is in a hysteresis state. In response to the determination, the recharge system initiates a recharge cycle.
PRINTING FLUID CONTAINER WITH REMOVABLE CAP
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a printing fluid container for a printing system is described. The printing fluid container includes a container body for holding printing fluid, a collar connected to the container body, and a cap removably engaging the collar. The collar has a plurality of collar teeth extending peripherally around the collar. The cap has a plurality of cap teeth extending peripherally around the cap. The cap teeth are configured for interfitment with the collar teeth such that rotation of the cap about the longitudinal axis in a first rotational direction effects cam-actuated removal of the cap from the collar.
DISCHARGED LIQUID CONTAINER AND RECORDING APPARATUS
Provided is a discharged liquid container detachable to an apparatus having an outlet portion from which discharged liquid is to be drained, and configured to contain the discharged liquid drained from the outlet portion. The discharged liquid container includes a casing inside which the discharged liquid is containable, a connection portion provided in a first face of the casing and configured to be coupled to the outlet portion, and a lid portion configured to change in position between a closed state for covering the connection portion and an open state for opening the connection portion. The lid portion is configured to be in the open state in a state of attachment of the casing to the apparatus and be in the closed state in a state of detachment of the casing from the apparatus.
SUPPLY UNIT AND LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS
A supply unit in which a liquid container including a coupling portion being detachably mounted includes: a liquid introduction unit coupled to the coupling portion of the liquid container; an urging member that urges the liquid container in an uncoupling direction which is a direction opposite to a coupling direction, the coupling direction being a direction in which the liquid container is coupled to the liquid introduction unit; and an engagement lever having an engaging portion that engages with the liquid container when the liquid container is coupled to the liquid introduction unit, the engagement lever includes an operating portion operated by a user and a pressing portion configured to press the liquid container and is configured to release the engagement of the engaging portion with the liquid container when the operating portion is operated and to press the liquid container in the uncoupling direction by the pressing portion.
LIQUID CONTAINER AND INTRODUCTION MEMBER
The object is to provide a liquid container capable of supplying liquid to a liquid ejection apparatus with simple configuration. Liquid container 100 has liquid containing bag 120 and an introduction member. The introduction member includes the first and second liquid introduction members. The first introduction member has the first spacer unit and the first coupling unit integrally connected to the first spacer unit in which the first groove for letting liquid flow to a liquid lead-out unit is formed. The second introduction member has the second spacer unit and the second coupling unit integrally connected to the second spacer unit in which the second groove for letting liquid flow to the liquid lead-out unit is formed. The first and second liquid introduction members are adjoined so that the surface on which the first groove is formed and the surface on which the second groove is formed face each other.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND RECORDING HEAD
A recording apparatus includes a recording head configured to discharge a liquid, a first liquid reservoir unit configured to store the liquid to be supplied to the recording head, a liquid supply port configured to supply the liquid stored in the first liquid reservoir unit into the recording head, a liquid supply path connecting the first liquid reservoir unit and the liquid supply port, a second reservoir unit, in the recording head, configured to store the liquid supplied from the liquid supply port, and a holding unit configured to hold the liquid supplied from the second reservoir unit, in the recording head, wherein the second reservoir unit includes an opening provided upward in a direction of a gravitational force with respect to the liquid supply port and is configured to supply the liquid to the holding unit, when the recording head is in a posture of performing recording.
