Pipette-Fillable Cartridge

A pipette-fillable fluid reservoir body. The fluid reservoir body includes two or more discrete fluid chambers therein. At least one of the fluid chambers contains a pressure compensation device and at least another one of the fluid chambers is devoid of a pressure compensation device. Each of the fluid chambers is in fluid flow communication with a fluid supply via, and each of the fluid chambers have sidewalls and a bottom wall attached to the side walls, wherein the bottom wall slopes toward the fluid supply via. The fluid reservoir body also includes an ejection head support face in fluid flow communication with the fluid chambers for attachment of a fluid ejection device to the ejection head support face for ejecting fluid from the fluid chambers.

An ink refill container includes a bottle and a cap. The bottle includes: an ink outlet forming portion having an ink outlet and an outer peripheral portion with a first screw thread; and a valve with a valve member in the ink outlet. The cap includes: a trunk having a second screw thread engageable with the first screw thread; a top portion; and a projection. The projection is configured to move and push the valve member to open the valve member when the cap is rotated in a first direction in which engagement between the first screw thread and second screw thread is cancelled. The projection is configured to relatively rotate in the first direction and move away from the valve member to close the valve member when the cap is rotated in a second direction in which the first screw thread engages with the second screw thread.

LIQUID DISCHARGE CARTRIDGE MANUFACTURING METHOD AND LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD

A liquid discharge cartridge manufacturing method includes a first step of individually shaping a first shaped member and a second shaped member that form a housing of a liquid discharge cartridge, and a second step of joining the first shaped member and the second shaped member to be bonded to each other with molten resin. The first step includes shaping a wall section in the first shaped member, the wall section forming a recess for accommodating the molten resin, and shaping a projection in the second shaped member, the projection extending such that the projection is located at the outer side of the wall section and adjacent to the wall section, with a predetermined gap being formed between the projection and the wall section, when the first and second shaped members are joined.

Preparing a printer cartridge for transport

A method of preparing a printer cartridge for transport may comprise applying a volume of immiscible fluid to a nozzle bore of a printhead. A printer cartridge may comprise a volume of immiscible fluid deposited into a nozzle bore of a nozzle of the printhead and a layer of immiscible fluid applied over the nozzle bore opening. A printhead die may comprise a volume of immiscible fluid deposited into a nozzle bore of the die and a layer of immiscible fluid applied over the nozzle bore opening.

Liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid container for containing liquid which has a refilling port for refilling the liquid container with liquid, a contained liquid information memory unit for storing information on the liquid contained in the liquid container, a refilling liquid information memory unit for storing information on the liquid to be supplied for refilling the liquid container, a liquid ejection head for ejecting the liquid supplied from the liquid container and a control unit for controlling operation of the liquid ejection apparatus according to the information stored in the contained liquid information memory unit and the information stored in the refilling liquid information memory unit.

INKJET PRINTER

An inkjet printer includes a main body. An ink containing unit is disposed in the main body and is configured to contain ink to be supplied. The ink containing unit includes an ink refill portion through which ink is refilled and an ink level display surface disposed on a side surface of the main body. The side surface has an opening through which a jammed sheet is removed and a first cover configured to cover the opening. The ink level display surface and the first cover are juxtaposed on the side surface in a horizontal direction.

INKJET PRINTER

An inkjet printer includes an inkjet head configured to discharge ink and an ink tank including a plurality of ink storage portions in which the ink is stored to supply the ink to the inkjet head via a connected tube, and replenishing ports via which the plurality of ink storage portions is replenished with ink, wherein the ink tank has an outer wall facing an outer side of the ink tank and having a thickness greater than a thickness of a partition wall arranged between the plurality of ink storage portions.

Liquid container device and liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid container device includes: a liquid container having an inlet; a casing in which the liquid container is housed; and a cap lever having a cap configured to seal the inlet. The liquid container has an upper surface, and a visualization surface. The casing includes a cover configured to pivot and that protects the upper surface, a cap lever-engaging portion, a visualization portion having an opening, and a wall portion disposed on the +Z direction side with respect to the visualization portion. The cap lever includes an engageable portion configured to be engaged with the cap lever-engaging portion, and a body extending in the +Y direction from the engageable portion. A surface disposed so as to face the cover of the body is planar, and an end of the body in the +Y direction is separated from an end of the wall portion in the +Z direction.

CAPS FOR FLUID EJECTION PERIPHERALS

Present examples relate to fluid ejection peripherals for, non-limiting example, ink jet peripherals. More specifically, but without limitation, present examples relate to caps for fluid ejection peripherals which may be locked or unlocked relative to the peripheral device.

RECORDING APPARATUS

A recording apparatus includes a recording head, an ink tank that is disposed above the recording head, a carriage on which the recording head and the ink tank are mounted, a scanner unit that is attached to the upper portion of the casing via a pivot shaft so as to pivot with respect to the casing and that reads a document placed on the document table, and a panel unit in which the scanner unit is attached to an end portion disposed on the opposite side to the pivot shaft and is configured to tilt between a first orientation and a second orientation closer to the document table than the first orientation, and by pivoting the scanner unit with respect to the casing to expose the ink tank, ink is injected from the refill container into the ink tank and the remaining amount of liquid is viewed.
