In an example, a method comprises, by logic circuitry associated with a replaceable print apparatus component, responding to a first validation request sent via an I2C bus to a first address associated with the logic circuitry with a first validation response; and responding to a second validation request sent via the I2C bus to a second address associated with the logic circuitry with a second validation response.

An integrated circuit to drive a plurality of fluid actuation devices includes a plurality of first non-volatile memory cells and control logic. Each first non-volatile memory cell stores a customization bit. The control logic configures an operation of the integrated circuit based on the customization bits.

The first switch is electrically coupled between the fire line and a first side of each memory element of the plurality of memory elements. The chip control unit is configured to receive an authentication request sent by the image forming apparatus, obtain the first fixed data and first variable data representing consumption information of the consumable, generate authentication data by performing a calculation on the first fixed data and the first variable data according to a first preset algorithm, and send the authentication data for determining whether the consumable meets expectation to the image forming apparatus.

A control method executed in an information processing apparatus including an image-capturing unit is characterized by: obtaining a captured image of a liquid container which is acquired by capturing an image using the image-capturing unit; obtaining a first identifier for uniquely identifying the liquid container from the captured image; identifying a remaining amount of liquid in the liquid container, based on the captured image; and transmitting the first identifier and the remaining amount of liquid to an external apparatus.
