ARC FLASH RESISTANT MULTILAYERED MATERIAL HAVING LOW THICKNESS
A multi-layered material with low thickness is provided, having properties of thermal and electric insulation, flame retardant capacity and high mechanical strength, useful for the manufacture of personal protective equipment and more in general of work items for the protection against arc flash effects. The material provides a high grade of protection against arc flash with good flexibility and comfort for the wearer, who is thus protected without being hindered in movements.
Protective device for use with a glove
A protective device for use in a high temperature and liquid environment provides a glove integrally formed with a protective member in the thumb webbing region. The protective member is not readily detectable when viewing the outside of the glove. The protective member is cut resistant and constructed to protect a workman's hand as a sharp and hot object passes over the protective member contacting the outer surface of the glove.
Convertible insulated smart glove
A convertible insulated glove capable of being reconfigured into the form of two separately detachable half sections for the handling and placement of hot or cold objects intended to be worn on a person's hand when joined together, or alternatively used with one or both hands as pot holders when separated to protect the hands from exposure to temperature extremes. Alternatively, an insulated glove that can be partially opened or fully separated to form one or more trivets to protect a surface from a hot or cold object placed therebetween. Further, a convertible insulated glove having additional features rendering it easier to clean and resist the growth of microorganism for improved sanitation and safety with the handling of foods, as well as preventing stains and malodors from developing during use.
Protective device for use with a glove
A color splash effect is established by a darker backdrop color of an outer surface of a liquid proof and heat resistant glove in the event that a portion of the glove ruptures or fails. The color splash effect is accomplished by a lighter and brighter color being visible through the rupture in the glove. The lighter and brighter color may be formed on or as part of a protective member positioned beneath the outer layer. The protective member also protects the wearer against sharp objects contacting the outer layer of the glove and moving over the protective member. Some embodiments provide that the protective member is in a thumb crotch region of the glove.
MITT SYSTEM
A mitt system includes a mitt for protecting a user's hand during performance of dirty tasks, and a carrier attachable to the user's body and designed hold the mitt spaced apart from the user's body. The mitt is configured for insertion of the hand through an opening and reception of the hand by a thumb section and a finger section without manipulation of an external surface. The carrier includes a first coupler which retains the mitt and a clip for attachment to the body. In an embodiment, a rigid member maintains the opening of the mitt accessible for reception of the hand.
Material for dissipating heat from and/or reducing heat signature of electronic devices and clothing
Systems, methods and articles having a heat-shielding or blocking, heat-dissipating and/or heat signature-reducing material layer or coating are disclosed. In one example, the heat-shielding or blocking, heat-dissipating and/or heat signature-reducing material completely covers the interior of a housing having a plurality of battery cells removably disposed therein. Other examples include a heat-shielding or blocking, heat-dissipating and/or heat signature-reducing material layer having anti-static, anti-radio frequency (RF), anti-electromagnetic interference (EMI), anti-tarnish, and/or anti-corrosion materials and properties that effectively protect battery-operated devices and/or the batteries that power them from damage or diminished operation.
