Stabilizer bar disconnect
A stabilizer bar includes a first housing configured to be fixed to a first side-bar, and a second housing configured to be fixed to a second side-bar. The first housing incudes a clutch piston that engages a clutch ring fixed to the second housing. The clutch piston is moved axially via a screw actuated by a nut. The nut is rotated via a planetary gearset driven by an actuator.
PIN CLUTCH SWAY BAR DISCONNECT
A sway bar disconnect assembly for a motor vehicle includes a first bar segment for being connected to a first wheel, a second bar segment for being connected to a second wheel, and a disconnect clutch configured for being selectively movable between a connect orientation in which the disconnect clutch non-rotatably fixes the first bar segment and the second bar segment together and a disconnect orientation in which the disconnect clutch rotationally decouples the first bar segment and the second bar segment from each other. The disconnect clutch includes a first clutch section non-rotatably fixed to the first bar segment and a second clutch section non-rotatably fixed to the second bar segment. The first clutch section includes axially displaceable male connectors and the second clutch section includes female connectors shaped for receiving the male connectors in the connect orientation. The disconnect clutch also includes an axially movable disconnector configured for axially contacting the male connectors, and an actuator configured for axially moving the disconnector to force the male connectors out of engagement with the female connectors causing the disconnect clutch to enter into the disconnect orientation.

A suspension assembly for a vehicle suspension system may include a lower control arm, an upper control arm, a damper, and a drop link. The lower control arm may be operably coupled to a chassis of a vehicle via a first bushing assembly and a second bushing assembly. The first and second bushing assemblies may each pivot about an axis substantially parallel to a longitudinal centerline of the vehicle. The upper control arm may be operably coupled to the chassis. The damper may be operably coupled to the lower control arm to dampen pivoting motion of the upper and lower control arms relative to the chassis. The drop link may operably couple the lower control arm and an anti-roll bar that includes a disconnect assembly to translate a roll motion into a force exerted on the lower control arm in a direction substantially parallel to the axis.

A stabilizer bar includes a housing configured to be fixed to a first side-bar, a hydraulic power unit and a clutch piston disposed within the housing, and a clutch ring configured to be fixed to a second side-bar. The hydraulic power unit is configured to selectively move the clutch piston from a first connected position to a second disconnected position.

A suspension assembly for a vehicle suspension system may include a lower control arm, an upper control arm, a damper, and a drop link. Anti-roll bar for the rolling stabilization of a vehicle and method for operating such an anti-roll bar
A stabilizer (105) for the anti-roll stabilization of a vehicle (100). The stabilizer (105) has a first stabilizer element (110) and a second stabilizer element (115). The first stabilizer element (110) is, or can be, coupled to a first wheel suspension element (120) of the vehicle (100) and the second stabilizer element (115) is, or can be, coupled to a second wheel suspension element (125) of the vehicle (100). Furthermore, the stabilizer (105) is provided with an electric motor (135) designed to rotate the first stabilizer element (110), relative to the second stabilizer element (115) in response to a control signal, so as to decouple the first wheel suspension element (120) from the second wheel suspension element (125). In this case the control signal represents a signal determined on the basis of a field-orientated control system.
Two-stage sway bar
Sway bars are described that include at least an inner sway bar, a first outer sway bar, and a second outer sway bar. The sway bar includes a first coupling portion and a second coupling portion that can engage and disengage under control from a remote location. The sway bar includes a larger diameter, outer sway bar assembly that can be disengaged and a smaller diameter inner sway bar. The sway bar can include a housing to retain fluid.
STABILIZER
Provided is a stabilizer capable of improving ride quality and adjustment stability. To this end, the automobile according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: an actuator; a first stabilizer bar which has one end coupled to one end of the actuator; a second stabilizer bar which has one end coupled to the other end of the actuator; and a decoupler which couples at least one of one end of the first stabilizer bar and one end of the second stabilizer bar to the actuator.

A suspension stabilization system may include a stabilizer bar having an end configured to connect to a suspension component of a vehicle, and a torsion shaft with an end connected to the stabilizer bar. A locking mechanism may be configured to rotationally couple and decouple at least a portion of the torsion shaft with a portion of a frame of the vehicle.
