Method and Apparatus for Singulating Particles in a Stream
Particles are sorted into paths based on a measurable parameter by forming them into a stream in at least one duct carried on a body rotating around an axis where the duct is shaped so that the particles are accelerated to cause the particles separated into the duct to be aligned one after another in a row in the duct. The parameter of the particles are measured in the aligned stream one after the other and the particles are directed into one of a plurality of paths as determined by the measurement. In one arrangement the body comprises a disk member having a front face facing a supply conduit and the duct lies in a radial plane of the disk member. In one arrangement the measurement of the parameter is carried out by one or more measurement devices either carried on the disk or outside the edge of the disk.

Servo-Driven Singling Equipment
Singling equipment for an apparatus for packaging lollipops, each lollipop having a head and a stick, the singling equipment includes: a horizontally rotating sorting disc with a plurality of pockets, each of the pockets accommodating the head of the lollipop; a vertically rotating first transfer wheel with a plurality of indentations for the stick of the lollipop; and a vertically rotating second transfer wheel with a plurality of holding means, each of the holding means gripping the stick of the lollipop, the horizontally rotating sorting disc and the vertically rotating first transfer wheel are each driven by a servomotor, whose speed of rotation and/or torque is controlled independently.
Method and apparatus for sterilizing particles while singulated in a stream
Particles are sterilized by application of a sterilizing agent such as UV light while singulated by forming them into a stream in at least one duct carried on a body rotating around an axis where the duct is shaped so that the particles are accelerated to cause the particles separated into the duct to be aligned one after another in a row in the duct.
Supply device configured to supply workpiece to take-out device and transport device equipped with supply device
A supply device includes a replenishment device configured to replenish bolts to a surface of a table, and a supply control device configured to control the replenishment device. A determination region for determining the number of bolts is predetermined in a region where the table is disposed. When the number of bolts detected in the determination region is less than a determination value, the supply control device selects a divided region having the lowest bolt number density from among a plurality of divided regions. The supply control device controls the replenishing device so as to replenish bolts to a region of the table corresponding to the selected divided region.
SWITCH ARRANGEMENT FOR THE SELECTION OF JOINING ELEMENTS
The invention relates to a switch arrangement (10, 40) for the selection of joining elements (30), which comprises a switch (14, 42) that comprises at least three supply points (12a, . . . f, 44a, . . . f) in which joining elements (30) can be supplied to the switch (14, 42) in a position-oriented manner. Furthermore, an output point (22, 66) is provided where joining elements (30) can be output in a position-oriented manner, said switch (14, 42) comprising a conveying element (18, 52) which has at least three receiving compartments (20a, . . . f, 56a, . . . f) each being adapted to receive a supplied joining element (30) each at the supply point (12a, . . f, 44a . . . f). A conveying element (18, 52) can convey the joining elements from a receiving position to an output position from the supply point (12a, . . . f, 44a, . . . f) to an output point (22, 66), which is fixed relative to the supply points (12a, . . . f, 44a, . . . f), and output.
