A controller (44) operatively connects to the hose reel frame (28) and is operable to move the slide carriage (36) along the frame (34), and also to pivot the hose reel frame (28) relative to the vertical axis, thereby to enhance safety and maneuverability in locating the hose (32) in a desired position for cleaning a sewer.
