Apparel pocket system
Aspects herein provide for a pocket structure for an apparel item. The apparel item comprises an outer panel of material, an inner panel of material, a pocket panel, and a double-layer trim piece such as a waistband. A top edge of the outer panel is affixed to an outer layer of the waistband, and a top edge of the inner panel is affixed to an inner layer of the waistband. The pocket panel is positioned between the inner panel and the outer panel, and a top edge of the pocket panel is affixed to the outer layer of the waistband, and a bottom edge of the pocket panel is affixed to the inner panel of material. A pocket space is defined between the pocket panel and the inner panel of material. An opening to the space is formed through the outer layer of the waistband.
Low-profile edge pocket
An article having a panel secured between two layers of a trim piece and having a pocket affixed to a zipper, where a first zipper tape is affixed to the panel, and a second zipper tape is secured between the two layers of the trim piece such that the pocket is in communication with an incised opening in the panel is provided. The panel may be secured between the two layers of the trim piece at a first edge, and the incised opening may be formed proximate to the first edge such that the article comprises a pocket presented proximate to the trim piece. The present invention further comprises a method of manufacturing the article including a pocket presented proximate to the trim piece.
POCKET FOR A GARMENT
Examples of a pocket for a garment are described. The pocket for a garment, such as sport apparel, comprises an outer pocket panel and an inner pocket panel attached along respective side edges and bottom edges so that a pocket opening is formed therebetween. An elastic or silicone gripping surface is formed on an inner face of the pocket so that when an item is inserted into the pocket, it removably adheres or sticks to the griping surface preventing or reducing bouncing action of the item within the pocket.
Hip pocket pants, shorts and skirts
Various examples are provided for pants, shorts and skirts including a hip pocket. In one embodiment, among others, a pair of pants includes first and second pant legs and a hip pocket positioned along an outer portion of the first pant leg and adjacent to a front pocket of the pair of pants. The hip pocket can have an opening that is substantially perpendicular to a seam extending along a length of the first pant leg. In another embodiment, a skirt includes a waistband that secures around a waist of a wearer of the skirt and a hip pocket positioned along a side portion of the skirt and adjacent to a hip of the wearer. The hip pocket can have an opening that is substantially parallel to the waistband of the skirt.

A pocket space is defined between the pocket panel and the inner panel of material. An opening to the space is formed through the outer layer of the waistband.
GARMENT WITH WAISTBAND POCKET
A garment made includes at least a waist portion, a first leg portion, and a second leg portion. The waist portion further includes a pocket on the front of the garment, where the pocket is defined by at least the waist portion and a backing panel. The backing panel may be constructed from a resilient material and is reconfigurable between an empty configuration and an expanded configuration. When in the empty configuration, the backing panel may include a plurality of folded panels and may be aligned with the waist portion. When in the expanded configuration, the backing panel may be stretched to extend beyond the waist portion. The backing panel is reconfigured from the empty configuration and the expanded configuration when an object is disposed within the pocket. The pocket is sized and shaped to receive small personal items, such as smartphones, keys, money, credit cards, identification, etc.

The system will use removable straps that will attach to the foam pillow and to the brace of the shoulder sling and pillow system.
