The single-layer woven portion is engineered with a first stretching modulus zone with a first level of stretchability and a second stretching modulus zone with a second level of stretchability, such that the first level of stretchability is greater than the second level of stretchability. The second stretching modulus zone is located around the closed edges of the pocket to provide support around the pocket.

BONDED POCKET

According to an aspect, there is provided a pocket system for a garment. The pocket system includes a pocket structure having a pocket opening, an inner and outer panel that are attached to each other to form a closed bonded edge and a closed first side edge and a closed second side edge. The first side edge and second side edge are defined by a first stitched edge and a second stitched edge. The closed bonded edge is formed by a bond affixing the inner and outer panel. The closed bonded edge defines a shaped edge with one or more curves that extend between the first side edge and second side edge of the pocket. The closed bonded edge connects to the first side edge and second side edge of the pocket at an obtuse or acute angle or a combination of an obtuse and an acute angle.

GARMENT COMPARTMENTS

A garment includes at least one panel forming an interior having an opening facing in a sideways direction, a first compartment within the interior and a second compartment within the interior. The first compartment has a first mouth opposite the opening and facing in the sideways direction. The second has a second mouth opposite the opening and facing in the sideways direction. A single zipper extends along the opening and opposite to the first mouth and the second mouth.
