TIRE PRESSURE MEASUREMENT DEVICE, AN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT, A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD, A METHOD AND A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR A VEHICLE TO RECEIVE DATA
Embodiments provide a tire pressure measurement device, an integrated circuit, a printed circuit board, a method and a computer program to receive data. The tire pressure measurement device includes a first receiver configured to receive a low frequency signal using a first low frequency input of the first receiver, and a second input configured to receive a receive signal associated with a second receiver that is different from the first receiver. The tire pressure measurement device further includes a controller configured to control the first low frequency input of the first receiver and to couple the second input to the first low frequency input of the first receiver in order for the first receiver to receive the receive signal at the first low frequency input.
Tire pressure monitoring sensor with changing functionality based upon vehicle action
A tire pressure monitoring system includes a plurality of tire pressure monitoring sensors including low frequency wireless receivers and high frequency wireless transmitters. The system further includes a plurality of low frequency transmitters each being disposed proximate one of the plurality of tire pressure monitoring sensors. The system further includes a control module in communication with the plurality of tire pressure monitoring sensors through the plurality of low frequency transmitters. In a first phase of operation the control module causes the low frequency transmitters to transmit low frequency wireless signals to the tire pressure monitoring sensors causing the tire pressure monitoring sensors to transmit data to the control module at a rate. In a second phase or operation the tire pressure monitoring sensors transmit data to the control module at a second rate.
Apparatus and method to adjust LF sensitivity of TPM sensor
A TPM sensor measures the pressure of a tire and determines whether the measured pressure is greater than a predetermined threshold. When the measured pressure is greater than the predetermined threshold, an adjustment to the sensitivity is determined by the sensor. The adjustment to the sensitivity is applied to the sensor to yield an adjusted sensitivity. The TPM sensor is operated to make receptions according to the adjusted sensitivity.
Method of locating vehicle wheels equipped with an electronic box
A method for locating the wheels of a vehicle equipped with an electronic module, according to which the transmission, by transmitting antennas mounted on the vehicle, of a predetermined number of identification request signals is commanded, and the values representative of the rates of reception of these signals by the electronic modules are analyzed. According to the method, centroid calculations are performed to determine, for each wheel position, the ideal position {right arrow over (LA.sub.j)} for reception of the transmitting antennas covering the wheel position (a reception rate of 100%), and, for each electronic module, the actual position of the latter {right arrow over (WU.sub.i)} relative to the position {right arrow over (TA.sub.i)} of the transmitting antennas fitted to the vehicle, using as the criterion for determining this actual position {right arrow over (WU.sub.i)} the rate of reception, by the electronic module, of the signals transmitted by each transmitting antenna.
Tire pressure monitoring system communication method and system
A method to facilitate secure communication between a first tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a vehicle is disclosed. The method may include obtaining a trigger signal to auto-locate the first TPMS from a plurality of TPMSs. The method may further include obtaining learning mode advertisements from each TPMS responsive to obtaining the trigger signal. The learning mode advertisements may include a random value and a test value associated with each TPMS. The test value may be an encrypted value generated using TPMS keys. The method may further include calculating a vehicle test value using the random value and a vehicle pre-shared key, and comparing the test value with the vehicle test value. The method may further include auto-locating the first TPMS based on the comparison. The method may include receiving vehicle tire condition data from the first TPMS responsive to auto-locating the first TPMS.
