The wireless tire pressure monitor system is configured to transmit the signal in a first transmission mode from the transmitter to the vehicle-based receiver when the tire is rotating, and transmit the signal in a second transmission mode from the transmitter to the vehicle-based receiver when the tire is stationary. The receiver identifies the correspondence between ID codes included in the transmission data and the wheel assemblies by using the specific rotation angles.
