A swimsuit is disclosed herein comprising a bust portion, and a bottom portion including a waist portion configured to surround a torso, with an inner fabric layer including an interior surface and an exterior surface, and an outer fabric layer including an interior surface and an exterior surface, a left leg opening defined by a lower left edge portion, and a right leg opening defined by a lower right edge portion. The lower left edge portion and lower right edge portion are raw cut and are bonded with a bonding layer between the interior surface of the inner layer and the interior surface of the exterior layer. A first positioning strip is formed on the exterior surface of the inner fabric layer along an edge portion of at least one of the bust portion and the bottom portion. Corresponding methods also are disclosed.

The nearest lower edge may comprise an upper end of a flap opening of the rear side of the medical gown. The flap opening (140) may be defined between first and second flaps of the rear side of the medical gown. The tear guide may comprise a heat weld defined in the rear side of the medical gown.

A system for automated manufacturing of apparel that includes a fabric dispenser operable to dispense a first web of fabric and a second web of fabric, the first web of fabric forming a front of an apparel and the second web of fabric forming a back of the apparel. The system includes an adhesive dispenser configured to apply discrete non-contiguous adhesive masses to the first web of fabric. The system includes one or more presses operable to join the first web and the second web along the side seams and shoulder seams of the apparel. The system further includes a cutting tool operable to make partial cuts to the first web of fabric along lines corresponding to a neck hole, bottom hem, and arm holes of the apparel located on the first web of fabric, the cutting tool further configured to cut the apparel out of a joined first web and second web of fabric by cutting along the side seams of the first web of fabric and the second web of fabric and cutting the bottom hem, the neck hole, and the arm holes on the second web of fabric.

Protective garment and seam tape used therewith

A protective garment is disclosed that is reusable and can be relaundered over 70 times. The garment is made from a single layer barrier fabric. Any seams on the protective fabric are covered with a seam tape. The seam tape can include an adhesive layer, a cover layer, and an optional film layer positioned between the cover layer and the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer can be a crosslinkable polyester polymer.

An improved protective garment, and systems and methods of manufacturing are disclosed, wherein a method of manufacturing the protective garment, includes: providing a cuff material; providing a sleeve of a protective garment; and bonding the cuff material to the sleeve at a predetermined first bonding zone of the sleeve, wherein the bonding includes: applying an adhesive on the predetermined first bonding zone of the sleeve; positioning the cuff material over the sleeve such that a predetermined second bonding zone of the cuff material is aligned with the predetermined first bonding zone of the sleeve; and applying heat to the first and second bonding zones, thereby forming a seal between the elastic cuff material and the sleeve at the first and second bonding zones.

The discrete non-contiguous adhesive masses are deposited along a trajectory corresponding to seams of a first part of an apparel. The system includes one or more presses operable to join the first part of the apparel and a second part of the apparel along the seams. The system includes an energy source distinct from the one or more presses, wherein the energy source provides energy to cure the discrete non-contiguous adhesive masses. The system further includes a cutting tool operable to make cuts to the fabric along lines corresponding to features of the apparel.
