20210227899 · 2021-07-29 ·

To provide a body protection product such as a wetsuit that does not require a troublesome and time-consuming step such as machine sewing does not cause discomfort for the wearer, and does not result in a loss to the degree of freedom in terms of design. A wetsuit (10), in which a highly stretchable and elastic sheet-shaped fabric is draped to match the concave and convex features of the body shape off a wearer and a plurality of fabric pieces (11) are prepared, an adhesive (3) is applied to the draping surfaces of the fabric pieces (11), and the draping surfaces are then pressed against each other and joined without stitching, whereby a three-dimensional clothing base (1) is formed. Next, an adhesive (4) is applied to the surface of the clothing base and stretching is performed, whereby the surface of the clothing base is covered by a stretchable covering material (2) formed to match the shape of the clothing base (1). The clothing base (1) and the covering material (2) are compressed under heating and thereby made to adhere to each other.

Apparatus For The Application Of A Fluid Material To A Garment
20210145085 · 2021-05-20 ·

An apparatus for use in the application of one or more lines of a fluid resin material onto crease lines of a garment to maintain the crease therein. The resin is typically applied from a cartridge as the cartridge is moved along the crease line. Apparatus is provided to support the garment with the crease line in position along a groove formed in the apparatus to allow the accurate location of the line of fluid resin material. The groove is formed along a face of one or more bodies of the support apparatus and the at least one groove is located at a spaced distance from a surface on which the apparatus is mounted for use and with which the at least one body contacts via one or more contact portions formed as part of, or connected to, the said at least one body. In one embodiment the support apparatus includes at least two bodies which are located at a spaced distance apart and in a substantially parallel relationship.

A textile layered construction has a textile outer layer, a textile inner layer and an absorbing component, whereby line-shaped connections between the outer layer and the inner layer are designed as a laser welded joint, forming chambers fillable with insulating material between the welded joints. At least one line-shaped welded joint connection includes an interruption separating the line-shaped welded joint connection into two line-shaped welded joint connection parts.

Heat-sealable, liquid impervious fabric

Breathable barrier fabrics for protective garments that form liquid impervious seams when overlapped and sealed together via heat-sealing, and the seams formed thereby. The breathable barrier fabric is a heat-sealable, liquid impervious fabric composed of a breathable, liquid impervious thermoplastic film layer having a first melting point and a nonwoven layer bonded to a first surface of the thermoplastic film layer. The nonwoven layer has a second melting point that is higher than the first melting point of the thermoplastic film layer. A second nonwoven layer having the second melting temperature may be bonded to a second surface of the thermoplastic film layer opposite the first surface such that the inner film layer has a lower melting point than the outer nonwoven layers. The heat-sealable, liquid impervious fabric has a moisture vapor transmission rate of at least 800 g/m.sup.2/day as determined by ASTM E96-00.

SWIMMING GARMENTS

A swimming garment formed from a stretchable elasticated fabric, wherein the garment comprises at least one sensitivity zone in which the fabric thickness is less than the fabric thickness of the region of the garment surrounding the sensitivity zone. The sensitivity zones can give a heightened sensation in a specific position of the body, for example in the abdominals. The thinner fabric zone increases the sensation of water flow/temperature which in-turn leads to a proprioceptive response to activate the muscle group beneath the zone.
