TRANSFORMABLE GARMENT
Described is a transformable garment comprising a base portion and at least one extension portion stored in at least one pocket of the base portion when the at least one extension portion is not in use, wherein the at least one extension portion is adapted, when in use, to cover at least an extremity of a wearer of the garment and less than of the body surface of the wearer covered by the base portion, and wherein the at least one extension portion is permanently connected to the base portion along the majority of a connecting edge between the at least one extension portion and the base portion.
Durable Weather Garment
Disclosed is a garment comprising a hooded-coat and overalls designed for improved durability and comfort. The garment is waterproof throughout. The coat has an outer layer of Kevlar fabric in the abdominal region, the outer edges of the sleeves, and along the hem. The overalls have an outer layer of Kevlar fabric on the front of the legs and on the seat. The hood and coat sections each have light reflective stripes for greater visibility and safety. There are also built in knee pads, pockets, and openings for comfort, storage, and ventilation. The garment is particularly well suited for outdoor workers exposed to weather extremes and hard, abrasive contact with the environment.
ARTICLE WITH ADAPTIVE VENTILATION
Aspects herein are directed to articles with adaptive ventilation. The article has one or more flaps that open and close in response to the presence or absence of an external stimulus such as, for example, moisture. The one or more flaps remain closed in the absence of the external stimulus and open in the presence of the external stimulus thereby increasing or decreasing ventilation between an interior cavity of the garment and an external environment.
Micro hook-and-loop closure system
An article or garment comprising a micro hook-and-loop closure system is provided herein. The article comprises at least one extremity-covering portion. The distal end of the extremity-covering portion comprises a first textile at an outer-facing surface and a second textile at an inner-facing surface. The second textile includes micro hook or micro loop materials that releasably mate with complementary micro hook or micro loop materials of the first textile in order to place the micro hook-and-loop closure system in a closed configuration. The placement, size, and shape of each of the first and second textiles, as extending from a distal end toward a proximal end of the article, enable the article or garment to be expediently and comfortably donned and doffed.
Sports jacket with device for heat regulation
The sports jacket comprises at least one a closable vent (2) in the forearm region (1) of each sleeve on that side which is determined to lie adjacent to the inner side of the forearm. The vents (2) are each equipped with a zipper. Inside the vents an opening is provided in the lining (7) of the sleeve covered with an air-permeable textile fabric (4). The opening may be framed by a spring-loaded ring profile, which keeps the opening open in its relaxed state and forces it into a slit by way of closing the zipper. Alternatively, said opening is framed by a straight, spring-loaded profile which keeps the opening closed in its relaxed state. By means of twisting a turn-lock fastener (5) with pulling cables, the top ends of said profile are being brought closer together to its bottom ends against the spring force, thus spanning the enframed opening.

The one or more flaps remain closed in the absence of the external stimulus and open in the presence of the external stimulus thereby increasing or decreasing ventilation between an interior cavity of the garment and an external environment.
LOWER BODY ARTICLE OF APPAREL HAVING DYNAMIC VENT-SLIT STRUCTURE
A dynamic vent-slit structure for a lower body article of apparel is provided. The article includes a pelvic portion for covering a pelvic area of a wearer when the article is in an as-worn position, and a plurality of slits in a repeating fashion, wherein a spacing between two adjacent slits in linear alignment is less than a length of a slit in non-linear alignment with the two slits and that is offset from the two slits such that the slit in non-linear alignment overlies the spacing between the slits in linear alignment, and the slit in non-linear alignment is parallel to the slits in linear alignment. The slits may be positioned in one or more groupings or aligned in different directions to open in response to different directions of stretch or movement, to provide dynamic or motion activated venting in the article.
Adaptive planar shift garment material
Articles and methods of using and making adaptive garment portions are provided. An adaptive garment portion is one that has shifting surfaces with apertures that shift from an aligned to an offset orientation depending on environmental conditions/stimuli. For example, a first surface material and a second surface material may be coupled by a responsive material portion. The responsive material portion may physically change in response to a change in environmental conditions internal or external to the garment (e.g., thermal energy, moisture) and/or stimuli (e.g., light energy, electrical energy, magnetic fields). The physical change in the responsive material portion facilitates the planar shift of the first surface material relative to the second surface material.
