Utilizing radio signal emitting devices on fabric items to control temperature
Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The method computer program products, and systems can include, for instance: obtaining radio signal encoded data from one or more radio signal emitting device disposed on one or more fabric item used for thermal insulation by a user; performing data processing using an obtained environmental temperature of the user and one or more thermal characteristic, wherein the one or more thermal characteristic is determined using the radio signal encoded data; and providing one or more output based on the data processing.

INSULATED GARMENT
The technology described herein generally relates to a garment that is insulating yet light weight, which may provide protection from the elements without weighing down the wearer. The garment in accordance with the technology described herein comprises a layer of thermally insulating sheet material having one or more voided portions in place of conventional down or other synthetic thermally insulating materials. The one or more voided portions allow the thermal insulation to be light weight and adequately protective in cooler/cold weather, without adding motion hindering bulk to the garment.
Wearable thermal protection and perspiration management apparatus and method
Disclosed is a wearable thermal protection and perspiration management apparatus that includes a two-ply composite main body and an inner layer of elastic material. The two-ply main body includes an outer layer made of moisture absorbent material and an interior layer made of moisture wicking material this is arranged in contact with the outer layer of moisture absorbent material. The interior layer provides a moisture barrier which is adapted for preventing captured moisture from contacting a wearer's body. The inner layer of elastic material is adapted and configured to secure the two-ply composite main body in contact with the wearer's body. Preferably, the two-ply composite main body has a Thermal Protective Performance rating of greater than 35 cal/cm.sup.2.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THERMALLY ADAPTIVE MATERIALS
An adaptive textile that includes a plurality of a first fiber having a first expansion coefficient and a plurality of a second fiber having a second expansion coefficient. There is a difference between the expansion coefficient of the first fiber and the expansion coefficient of the second fiber; at least one of the first or second fibers is a twisted coil actuator; and linear displacement of the twisted coil actuator causes the adaptive textile to bend.
SHAPEWEAR GARMENT
A garment constructed in accordance with the present disclosure provides support to a wearer, while still contouring to the wearer's body. Preferably, the garment is made from a disclosed combination of rigid panels and more elastic panels, with more support on the wearer's front and more elasticity for contouring to the wearer's back and sides. The mesh panels take the natural shape of the wearer's hips and buttocks, supporting the form rather than trying to force the wearer's body into a particular shape.
GARMENT HAVING AT LEAST ONE BREATHABLE REGION
In a garment a breathable effect in breathable regions can be obtained despite a lack of direct contact with the skin of a wearer. The textile layer has at least one breathable region at a distance from the wearer's skin when the garment is worn, in which breathable region a plurality of thread tentacles, each designed in a single piece as an open loop, are brought out of individual second threads into the textile layer in such a way that each thread tentacle has two tentacle sections pointing away from the inner side of the textile layer and one central section extending along on the outer side. The tentacle sections of the thread tentacles can, when the garment is worn, be brought into direct contact with the surface of the wearer's skin, while the inner side of the textile layer remains at a distance from the skin surface in the region of the breathable region.
