A portion of the tear panel can be formed adjacent to the adhesive panel. The portion of the tear panel can be configured to be torn from the tear panel and the adhesive panel, thereby permitting the lid to be moved to the opened position when the adhesive panel is affixed to the base panel of the takeaway box.
