Resealable lidding for rigid thermoformed tubs
A resealable package and method for making is provided. The package may comprise a laminate lidding member having an outer structure, an inner structure joined to the outer structure by an adhesive layer, and a pull tab. The laminate includes an outer line of weakness in the outer structure defining a separable opening portion and an inner line of weakness in the inner structure, defining a separable opening portion from the inner portion. The lidding member also comprises a second inner line of weakness formed in the inner structure, disposed between the pull tab and the inner opening portion, partially within the flange seal.
MEMBRANE LID WITH INTEGRATED TWO-STAGE TAB SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a resealable membrane lid for a container comprising a peelable portion and a removable portion. When the resealable peelable portion is peeled back, the seal onto the container is not disturbed. When the removable portion is removed from the container, the container contents may be accessed. The peelable portion may be resealed onto the container at any point in the process
Packaging container comprising a container body and a base disc
Disclosed is a packaging container comprising a container body having a bottom end and a top end. The container body comprises a tubular container wall. The packaging container is closed at the bottom end by a base disc which is attached to the inner surface of the container body at the bottom end of the container body. The packaging container comprises a top end closure including a lid. The container body comprises a laminate body sheet material comprising a carton layer and a thermoplastic welding layer being arranged on an inner surface of the container body. The base disc comprises a laminate base sheet material comprising a carton layer and an inner thermoplastic welding layer being arranged on a surface of the base disc which is facing towards the interior of the container body.
Reclosable packaging
The present invention is related to a flexible laminate for forming a reclosable packaging container comprising a built-in opening and reclose feature, said laminate comprising an inner structure and an outer structure, adhesively joined face-to-face, the outer structure forming the outer surface of the container and the inner structure forming the inner surface of the container, the outer structure comprising an outer flap portion delimited by a scoring line through the outer structure, and an inner structure comprising an inner flap portion delimited by a scoring line through the inner structure, the inner score line and the outer score line creating an opening into the container when the flap portions are peeled back, a marginal region of the outer flap portion extending beyond an edge of the inner flap portion and overlying an underlying surface of the inner structure, the inner and outer flap portions being joined in a second adhesive region and the first adhesive region being disposed between the marginal region of the outer flap portion and the underlying surface of the inner structure for attaching and re-attaching, in use, the outer flap portion to the underlying surface, wherein the bond/peel strength, measured according to ASTM F904-1998 (reapproved 2008), of the first adhesive region is smaller than the bond/peel strength of the second adhesive, the first adhesive being permanently tacky and covering the entire surface of either the inner structure or the outer structure, said first adhesive being patterned covered by an adhesion promoter, transforming said first adhesive into a second adhesive and creating patterns of first adhesive region and second adhesive region.
Re-sealable packages with independently peelable lidding member portions
Improved packages and methods for constructing packages are provided that are designed such that the user can peel back a lidding member of the package to reveal an independently peelable portion covering one of the compartments. The independently peelable portion is a layer of the lidding member that maintains the respective compartment in an unopened (sealed) condition until the user independently peels that layer off to access the items in that compartment. The lidding member can be used to re-seal all of the compartments before and/or after the independently peelable portion is removed. The independently peelable portion may include a visual indication of a sealed condition of the compartment that serves as a tamper evidence feature. In multiple-compartment packages, peeling back the lidding member allows the user to access some of the compartments of the package, while at least one of the compartments remains sealed via the independently peelable portion.
TAMPER-EVIDENT COVER SHEET FOR MULTI-COMPARTMENT ARTICLE DISPENSING PACKAGE
A cover sheet for a multi-compartment package for dispensing plural items is disclosed. The package includes plural individual sealed compartment units which are releasably secured to each other. Each compartment unit includes a flanged base from which a chamber depends. The chamber holds an item to be dispensed and is surrounded by a flange. The cover sheet, includes respective closure members releasably secured to each other by frangible lines. Each closure member is configured to be adhesively secured to the flange of each compartment unit. Each closure member includes plural arcuate tamper-evident cuts therein located adjacent respective corners of the closure member to initiate a tear upon attempted removal of the closure member from the flange of its associated compartment unit.
Reclosable Packaging
The present invention is related to a reclosable packaging container comprising a flexible laminate with a build-in opening and reclose feature in the form of a flap, said laminate comprising an inner structure and an outer structure adhesively joined face-to-face by a permanent adhesive, a pattern of pressure-sensitive adhesive being integrated between said inner structure and said outer structure, the pressure-sensitive adhesive being entirely covered by the permanent adhesive, a marginal region delineated by inner and outer score lines comprises the pressure-sensitive adhesive overlaying the permanent adhesive in an imprint region of reduced permanent adhesive thickness, the cumulative thicknesses of the pressure-sensitive adhesive and of the permanent adhesive in the imprint region being substantially the same as the thickness of the permanent adhesive outside this region.
